Living in a capitalist country as we do, where a dozen or so persons/companies own multiple companies ( and in turn products) do you believe that it's possible to boycott a company if you disagree with their work practices,political/moral beliefs, etc?

I'm undecided, but tend to lean toward saying no. That is not to say I believe that one who does should not try to do so, it's just that big comapanies own lots of smaller ones that may seem to the buyer to be not as corporate. . . i.e. Johnson's owns Bert's Bees, Coca-Cola owns Odwella Juices, Nestle owns San Pelligro bottled water.

Anywho, enough rambling...your thoughts?

Is it slander if you make a post detailing a incident, and then in the next paragraph explain another incident involving "someone", without mentioning their name, dates, times, or specific places? And the two incidences were referred to as a coincidence, but not outright saying that the person did anything, just implying?

Everyone seems to ask this question but I've heard there is a different age to actually legally purchase cigarettes (18) and legally able to smoke (16). I'm not sure this is true though? I live in Chicago and it seems that the police don't care about teens smoking, I mean teens smoke right in front of the school and in front of police bikers! I have seen a police man search a kid for smoking but when he wrote the ticket, it was for littering, not acutually smoking, and he's 16. So i just wanted to know if the legal smoking age was 16?

Ok so Hilary Clinton says that she is "in to win" in her campaign for President in 2008. I personally greatly dislike this woman and i am DEFINATELY not going to vote for her. Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way? Let me know what you think.

I've posted questions about sex, about drugs, about the weirdest most taboo subject, but what got me busted, questions regarding Jews.
Nothing anti-semitical really, I never lit the cross if you can understand, but any remark that questioned Judaism, from the truth about the supposed miracle of Hanakkah to Jesus, and doomed you are.
You can cross any boundary, but never cross a Jew. I now see the truth.

A person is convicted for commiting a crime, and everyone thinks that he did it for sure, but one wittness (or a small minority of people) says that someone else did it, and that alone saves his skin.

I need a specific case to prove a point in a paper.

young people are taking the Viagra, Enzyte, etc., that have no diabetes or anything wrong with their abilities. That they are taking it for sport? Do you feel that this should be treated with concern for the morals here in America, and politically work this out that a person with no physical problems should be taking these pills ever? The study does show side effects from over use and they have no long term knowledge (guinea pigs) of the effects of these pills either. Sex is a drug in itself, and it is being promoted like a prostitute, instead it is in pill form and the pharmeceutical companies are cleaning up? shouldn't we be able to get our high blood pressure pills over the counter? And any other drug that is so necessary that we could die without them? Rather than pay enormous amounts for these pills? A doctor's cost and the prescription? Pharmaceutical companies are standing in the way of our health programs as well. And they are dictating with government what we can or can't have
