the towers went straight down because of gravity. it took about 10 seconds because of terminal velocity.
i dont know about the WTC 7 bldg. havent studied its case.

Just addressing the Face-Value Question here, not any "conspiracies"...
It had everything to do with the way the Towers were built. The weight-bearing structure of the buildings was on the outside pretty much, right there under the outer layers of steel and glass, so when the plane hit the first tower, it was already seriously bending and crumpling under its own weight...
And jet fuel burns *really hot*, which didn't help matters any because the materials used in the Towers weren't *made* to stay solid for any length of time at those temperatures. They were made to stay solid for fire safety reasons, but at much lower temperatures.
As for why the second tower fell, the buildlings were *very* close to one another, so it could have been anything from debris to sharing a common foundation that was damaged in the collapse of the first tower. I know, it sounds nine kinds of weird, but then again, much of this is just modern skyscraper *architecture* for you, this is how very tall buildings are built.
And if you are *looking for* conspiracies....why obsess over the buildings? Why NOT look at the behavior of *people* instead? Everyone from the hijackers to the hush-hush arrangements made for Bin Ladens in America *the same day*...
Trust me, the conspiracy is NOT in the way the Towers fell. It's the people, not the architecture. Get over yourself, please, you make us sane people look bad. :p

Can you explain why the federal government would ever dream they could get away with the ridiculous conspiracy theories you nut bars are promoting? Do you really think the hundreds of people that would have to be in the loop to orchestrate something like that are just all going to magically keep quiet and nothing is going to be leaked? Do you really believe that even people as evil as the current Bush administration would kill 1000s of innocent American civilians in a mock terrorist attack so they could launch an attack against Iraq? If so, why wouldn't they do all that and then blame it on IRAQ instead of Osama Bin Laden?

Well, call me crazy, but Im kindof a 911 conspirarist (however the hell you spell it) I think that constructioners put bombs hidden in the bottom of tall buildings (say over 15 stories) when they are built so that if an emergency such as 911 ever happened, they could blow the buildings straight down instead of letting them fall over to other buildings and cause 7 to 10 times the damage and fatalities. Just a theory. The buildings were gonna fall eventually, they just had become extremely unbalanced because of the explosions and probably would've fell pretty far.

Hello,
When old buildings come down, like old hotels in Vegas, don't they use TNT to bring them down? I mean, doesn't the demolition crew wire the building to IMPLODE and the buildings will usually collapse in a straight downward motion?
Yup, that is what I thought.
And, Larry Silverstein admitted to imploding WTC 7 the day 9/11 happened.
People, please take off your blinders. Do some more research and save yourselves before you are boiled alive like that infamous frog.
Oh, BTW, our government only deceives the American populous IN PLANE/PLAIN SITE. Get it! They want us to not believe what we have actually seen or "witnessed".

It was a controlled demolition.
It could only have gone down in 10 secs if ALL support was removed.
Jet fuel does not burn "really hot". It's just kerosene, and none if it was concentrated in any one place long enough to even warm the steel. Ever here of gravity?
Absolutely nothing in the story is true.
The 9-11 truth movement knows more than it's detractors.
