what if we were attacked by an advanced race from space how long do you think our forces could hold them im thinking the guys from independence day technology cause much higher than that and were ants in a poisan factory

if someone or thing out there could get to us thru space the chances of them having way better tech than us is very high and if they are in a war like position and attack then you can forget independance day and just kiss it all goodbye, the mistress, the stock portfolio, the fancy car, the vacations in the south seas and the expensive jewelry... the only think left before your death as food would be the memories of those who treated you well, reminded you that they loved you and were there for you when you needed them so tell everyone that you love that you do indeed love then cause I saw something in the sky last night that didn't look any too promising, I love you world there I can die happy now.

Well, if they have the technology to mobilize armies and weapons to other planets, then of course they're more technologically advanced than us. They could probably easily take out the planet with some super weapons but if thye planned to colonize the planed, our armies would inflict some damage on them but I do fear this scenario. But the world is making some great leaps in technology with laser weapons, etc.

They might have superior technology in space travel , but inferior weapons technology. In that case we might be able to shoosh them back to where they came from (that's right I said shoosh).

Depending on how we would be conquered, it would be quite short work to destroy us. I mean if they are able to travel faster than light, surely their weapons would be quite powerful. We think our nuclear bomb is hot stuff, imagine what they might have?
