I haven't heard anything recently but I believe her stance is similar to her husbands, and their mutual friend the late Prime Minister Rabin. They believed that an independent Palestine with an agreement by the Arabic states to recognize the Sovereignty of Israel was essential to the possibility of peace in the area. However, this proposal has been met time and time again with the statement, "As long as there is an Israel there will be no peace." By the Palestinian leadership.
It is a very complex issue, and understanding it takes understanding the region and its complexities, also knowing who controls the flow of arms, money and ideology to the region(Saudi Arabian Royal Family) Understanding that some people in places of power in the United States are themselves deeply indebted to these people(The Bush Family) For many complex reasons(The Buying out of Arbusto in 1976, the artificial oil shortage to dispose of the Cater administration in 1979, the Bedouin insurgency in Afghanistan against the Soviets in 1989, the isolation of Sunni radicals in1990, operation desert storm 1991, and of course 911, 2001).
