In Pelosi's new "minimum wage" increase bill, she forgot to add American Samoa to the bill. Was she ignorant concerning the fact that American Samoa is part of the USA and its people are US citizens, or is she just racist against Samoans? If it had been a republican who made this error, would the major media be asking this very question?

I mean, the call them Correctional Facilities, but are they really anything more than detention centers? Before anyone takes this question out of context, allow me to make myself clear. The "stated" purpose of prison is to correct individuals who have done wrong, but little actual rehabilitation ends up happening. Shouldn't the prison system put a little more thought into fixing inmates and less into just holding them until they get out and do something to end up back in?

I am a fiscal conservative-I think Federal $ is poorly spent-I don't belieive in going around the world and trying to replicate our form of government (I will bomb em if they threaten us-but I don't want to set up a government) I beleive in times of War evcerybody should sacrifice-taxes -children-that way we can guge true support for a War. I don't beleive in affirmative action. I beleive financial aid should be base on need only. But to some I am a commie liberal because I don't worship Bush.

Democracy is "majority rule: the doctrine that the numerical majority of an organized group can make decisions binding on the whole group."

Democracy means that the government is controlled by "the people."

However, what is a people? It is the entire human population or just a subset of the human population? If it is a subset of the human population then what do you use to distinguish "peoples."

For example, suppose most people in Texas wanted to separate into a separate country. Would this be democratic? Most Texans want it, but most Americans may not. What makes Americans as a whole more of a "people" than Texans?

The constitution CLEARLY states that all issues not clearly represented in the Constitution would be decided by the states. Since a woman's right to be a whore is not in the constitution, it SHOULD be a state law, so that if I think murder should be illegal, I could just move to another state.

I think the abortion issue has about 5 years left before we finally realize our mistake. We have killed more people than the Nazis, and that would also be millions more working people putting money into our failing Social Security system.

I say, by the year 2010, either Abortion will be nationally outlawed or at least a handful of states will have made it illegal. What do you think?

Was there not a Mayor in charge of New Orleans? For some reason a man named "Ray Nagen" comes to mind.

Also, isn't there a governor in Louisiana? I'm thinking there was a lady named "Kathleen Blanco", but I could be confused.

Were they not in on the blame because they're Democrats?

The President sends our soliders. Day by day families lose someone special. The people in prison get feed by us taxpayers. I know our Soldiers are proud to to represent the U.S. Why not put the criminals on the front line. Most of the criminals deserve to die. Not the innocent.

However, I have no prior military experience and I believe would have to go to basic training. What are the time requirements for guard members? Is basic during the weekends or is it the full 8 weeks?
8 weeks full-time would be tough to swing with my current job. Can anyone explain further?

I've been looking for teen rights, and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'd like to know what power parents hold over their kids, when is the age that you can have your parents sign for you to move out before 18 {and how does that work?}, and anything else somewhat similar. If you could give me some sites, or just information you know that would be greatly appreciated.

But if I were to vote for a black man it would have been Colin Powell a man of principle I think the repubs have it just as bad I can't imangine who they could possibly run except for Jeb Bush but he'd have a tough time of it since his brother screwed everything up for him.

I've suffered identity theft 3 times - I think because my drivers license (with my social security number on it) was stolen when I was overseas about 10 years ago. I'm a web developer - I know how to be safe online, so I don't believe that my web behavior is the source of my stolen identity. Every time my account gets hit, it's from Turkey, Holland, or Canada - I trace the information that I'm given. I know that theives in the states steal identities and sell the info to other foreign theives, but I honestly can't think of another way that my info could have gotten circulated the way that it has.
