The Pentagon has just announced that active service "terms" will no longer be limited to "X" months or years of service while your country needs your services.

This will probably lead to a fairly large drop in volunteer enrollments.

The Penatagon has also announced that it plans to build our "modern" army and marine corp. by several thousand more(something like another 250,00 in the army and 90,000 in the marines) troops in the next few years.

What will they build from if volunteerism declines?

How did the number 21,500 come to be. Why stick the extra 500 in the approximation, am I the only one who found that somewhat interesting, thats not a real #.

When it comes to the government I am a realist, so I firmly believe the decisions of our goverment are strongly based on what will get them the most votes, and far from what they believe to be morally correct....so...why in the world would the president and his "team," tell a country who is mortified by the numbers of deaths this War of Terror is producing tell us he is sending more troops to Iraq...and then follow it with a huge number, while in the process "taking responsibilty," for not doing this sooner? The disapproval in this could have been predicted by a 3 year old, so why this take this campaign strategy. Who do they want to be our next pres...and why?

and as for the pawns in this plot...
what percentage of the military will be in Iraq after these troops are sent?

ok..... there are so many murderers in jail right now it's ridiculous. some who've killed years ago! WHY ARE THEY STILL ALIVE??????? The people that they killed didn't get any "time" before they died, so why should the murderers?????? For example, serial killer Richard Ramirez is still "awaiting" the death penalty-however he commited his last murder like in 1989! why is he still alive? Scott Peterson? Dennis Rader BTK Killer?????? Look at what they've done to so many innocent people!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DO NOT DESERVE ANY TIME TO LIVE!!!!!!!! Their victims sure didn't get any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is up with this????????

I was offered a job in another state at mid-sized company. After communicating with the owner of the company back and forth I was hired and was to start working in February. We continued to communicate on the phone and thru e-mail about being more than just an employee.(It was wrong on my part, I know!) As I got to know this person, I realized I did not want to pursue anything more than just a business relationship. After informing this individual, I was told to forget about the job and that he would wire me money and to not ever call again. I quit my job in the state I live in and dropped my classes for the spring semester and have spent money preparing for the move. I feel I was wrongfully terminated. Can I sue this person? And if so, I seek to be compensated for this. I have no job, money, and cant go to school this semester. How much can victims of wrongful termination expect to get money wise?

1. "They misunderestimated me."
2. "The grown-ups are back in charge."
3. "I know its hard for you to put food on your families."
4. "See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction."
5. "As you know these are open forums. Your able to come and listin to what I have to say."
6. "The problem with the french is that they dont have a word for entrepreneur."
Wow, is it really possible for anyone to be this functionally retarded and be the leader of the free world. I would have loved to grade his work in college. What a toolbag.

There are many innocent people sitting in jail due to no contest pleas, disinterested, overbooked, public defenders and lack of $10,000 required down payment for a good lawyer. Sad isn't it. Mmm
