Democracy make dictators for a short period of time only for the terms given a President. Thus, maximization of the power is used such as the war in Iraq which must already be finished after 2 years.

The US is not a Democracy and has never been one the us is a Constitutional Republic.
Constitutional republic - A constitutional republic is a state where the head of state and other officials are elected as representatives of the people and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over citizens. In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers are separated into distinct branches so that no individual or group has absolute power and the power of the majority of the population is checked by only allowing them to elect representatives. The fact that a constitution exists that limits the government's power, makes the state constitutional. That the head(s) of state and other officials are chosen by election, rather than inheriting their positions, and that their decisions are subject to judicial review makes a state republican.

The USA is not even a democracy right now. It is a Republic. It has been since Bush's 1st term. It is not a dictatorship either.
People fail to realize this.
Republicans = Republic
Democrats = Democracy
All governments can be time fixed dictatorships to a certain degree.
Bush may be a lot of things but he is no dictator. Highly under qualified for that title.

The democracy you speak of became a dictatorship after the 2000 the election. Democratically, Al Gore should have won. But with the rise of the Bush administration out of the ashes of defeat by rigging the election in Florida (Jeb's State) and essentially being voted in by his party.
The democracy died on Septemeber 11th, 2001 as the American people did every thing but declare the man "dictator for life". Our apathy and inaction gave the keys to the kingdom to the guy who fell asleep at the wheel. He should have been fired not re-elected.
Bush merely pushes his agenda in Iraq with re-newed vigour for one purpose. When he finally declares himself "dictator for life" he'll need some bloody struggle to end with triumph and of course one more attack to both inspire the patriotism and fear of the people so that we may hand over our liberty for the last time.

Well, it is not supposed to be. If it is that case that it has become this way (not going to comment one way or the other) then we have a real problem.

"democracy"...Bush should not be allowed to use that word in reference to Iraq...installing a puppet government that caters to America's oil interests is NOT democracy.
Our solders are not fighting terrorists there in as much as they are fighting those who seek to stop America's imperialistic ambitions.
