Would this greese our rusty poltical mechanisms and allow our government to function more effectivily and rapidily by helping the diffrent parties take each other a bit more seriously making it easier to learn from there own membership and other parties memberships what's truly most importent and what to do about it?

This may be BS, but what reaction would you expect? Would we be confused - under attack? Paralyzed - North Korea, Iran, don't know, can't act?

My guess is 12,000. I don't think we've seen anything yet. This mess is far from over. I think it's just getting started. 20,000 if we decide to mix-it-up with Iran too.

About a month ago I lost my Visa Check Card at Wal Mart.Someone found it immediately and used it to purchase $232.00 worth of merchandise.I was told to file a police report and the police would go to Wal Mart, look at the video surveillance, then give me a copy of the police report. Then I take the police report to my bank showing I did not make the purchases, and the money would then be added back to my account. But someone told me that Wal Mart only keeps video surveillance for a week.Does anyone have any information on this?I want my money added back to my card.Is there anyway they can catch the person who did this?I would appreciate any information.

If we go to their country and not speak their language we are screwed. But they want to be able to speak their language here and I don't think its fair. They expect us to change everything for them in america and pull out the red carpet but in their countries we can't get the same treatment. They also come here making it like their country and ways and traditions are better then our and don't want to adapt to our ways but isn't that what join another culture is about. Why do they want to conform us but don't put that same effort into just making their country better?

I keep seeing people say that big business or corporations should pay more in taxes to fix this or pay for the other. Do they not understand simple economics? Where do corp.s get there money? They get it from you the consumer. Taxes are just another cost of production for them. If their taxes go up so does the price of the goods they produce. So the average consumer ends up paying it any way. It's pass through economics. Their profit stays the same your purchase price goes up.

I know this isn't politics, but the culture & politics & fatness are so intertwined, it just makes sense to post here.

I simply can't get over how fat everybody is getting. Will the Earth start to wobble? Will this be the straw that triggers a "health-care crisis" that is used as a rationale for national (socialized) medicine?

Can't we get some damned self-control?

I am sick of all the talk concerning liberal commies and moronic conservatives. This unproductive, comunity-splitting bable is the result of a bi-partisan system of government. How about researching some issues for yourselves, and stop listening to what the fools on TV tell you to think?
