If we go to their country and not speak their language we are screwed. But they want to be able to speak their language here and I don't think its fair. They expect us to change everything for them in america and pull out the red carpet but in their countries we can't get the same treatment. They also come here making it like their country and ways and traditions are better then our and don't want to adapt to our ways but isn't that what join another culture is about. Why do they want to conform us but don't put that same effort into just making their country better?

I agree with you. Our government does take on extra people....it is commonly known and easy for immigrants illegal ot not to live and work in our society so we can conform for them. There is a class in the elementary school here - ESL - English as a Second Language....it is truly becoming the second language literally... They are really pushing Spanish and other types of languages instead of concentratin on proper English as it should be. and it goes on an on - you opens up a can of worms...good for you!!

It's wonderful to know they can speak English in Mexico but not in America something backwards about that. It's reached a point now where people condone and encourage the stealing of another's id as if their life seems to more important than our life here. Illegals only want what they can get they have no worry or concern about the country after it's a 3rd world country how far away are from the Mexican drug cartels attaches a bomb to someone to send a message. The people of Mexico are responsible for the condition of that country not us. We given Mexico everything they asked still no matter how much you give or do nothing ever changes there. That attitude carries on over here. They do not understand how this country works and are not concern with learning anything less the motto of the day is seems to be better life entitles me to steal whatever is required. It's all good!

This is a racist issue as long as the American employers and business owners who criminally invite and hire undocumented foreign nationals are not arrested, fined and prosecuted according to our laws. And, Americans who can barely read or know what's really going on in the world should get better informed. This isn't high school. Bush has made agreements recently with Mexico and Canada to eliminate all borders, agreements that build upon N.A.F.T.A.'s economic union between the three nations. There are major highways/tollroads running from Mexico through the U.S. and up into Canada that are being planned and are already sold or leased by Bush's administration to foreign nationals that specifically promise no borders. For example, The King of Spain has dibs on the main south/north highway/tollroad in the middle of the Americas. All of this may be a problem to some people. But, only the dregs of any society take their problems out on the poor guy a rung lower than they are on the ladder when ALL of us are just trying to hang on in a world being plundered by REAL bad guys.

So what you're saying is 'why hold ourselves to a higher ideal?'.

Once upon a time, America was the example held up to the rest of the world. A great social experiment. Come and be equal.

If we can't be held above, than we are nothing but bullies forcing our ways on others. That's sure not what I want.

Don't be a sheep.

Most immigrants come to this country so they may have a better life. They don't expect us to change for them, it's just easier for them to speak their own language. Americans do not have a single cultural identity, but rather a diverse mixture of many cultures. We do have traditions though. Any way if they don't cost me money (which they do in the form of government tax dollars, a fault of our system, not the immigrants) I don't have a problem.

Have you ever heard this song? We sang it will all of our heart when I was in grade school years ago. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddle masses yearning to free. Give these the homeless, tempest, tossed to me." In America everyone used to be proud of their heritage and told stories of how their family got to this country. In the boroughs of New York each neighborhood spoke different languages. When the first immigrants (the pilgrims, the conquistadors, the explorers) came to America they didn't try to learn the language of "the Indians" "the savages" they all brought their religion, their languages, their customs and changed the country. Why is everyone so afraid of change? Why has everyone forgot how they got here? We need love in this America.

perhaps in case you lived off of $eighty funds each and every week after working 12hrs an afternoon you are able to understand the way undesirable the living circumstances are in different international places. Its a conflict customary for them, here you have had each and every thing surpassed to you. you have on no account had to be hectic approximately something close to to the failings they hardship approximately on a regular basis. there is not any time for college over there, you the two artwork or do no longer consume. Its unlike our united states of america the place in case you do no longer sense like working you are able to in simple terms get on unemployment and acquire nutrition stamps, by using fact if it became like that no-one could go away their united states of america. And if our living circumstances have been the comparable and Mexico provided each and all of the failings u.s. supplies human beings, we could be over there too. in simple terms take excitement in what you have and examine your self fortunate. help a guy or woman out rather of questioning why they are here. A shitty activity to us is a large activity to them, its so lots extra effective than what they make of their international places. And their young ones strengthen as much as have a extra useful life and that they are in a position to circulate to college.it relatively is why they arrive here, its no longer that no longer ordinary to understand in simple terms particularly placed your self of their footwear.

Because our country is known for " The land of opportunities " and once they get here they think it's ok for them to speak and act the way they want to because it is better for them here. I personally think that they think it is much easier for them to just come to our country than try to make there's better, it's a known fact that people would rather take the "easy way" than try to make a difference, don't get me wrong there are alot of people out there who would rather make a difference than take the "easy way", but for the majority it's the "easy way". But thats just my opinion.

Why do immigrants come to america and try to take over?

May I remind you, that war was lost since the day "European immigrants" took over the native land back it 15th - 16th century? So I'm not sure what is your point?

Because it takes alot of time to learn the most complicated language in the world. Most of us can barely say how are you doing in spanish. I like to see you learn english in a week. It's alot harder then you think. They work long days to support there family some of them dont have the time and money to learn a new language right away. But they all eventually will most likely learn english. Stop being so eqotistical you are a human just like them you just got the privledge of being born in america. But they should definitely work for the same wage and pay taxes.
