Yes, and you can bet BushCo will be supporting them every step of the way to the homeless shelter. They send them into battle improperly equipped, they surround them with depleted uranium munitions so they get sick from that, they extend their duty over and over so they are stressed beyond natural limits, when they come home there is no support for getting them jobs, their families are often on food stamps, Bush has slashed funding for the VA and many hospitals are on skeleton crews, and even the old soldiers home for honored vets has had the budget slashed, even though the active duty soldiers contribute to it out of their pay. Yes indeed, BushCo loves our troops. A most excellent question!

SOON AND VERY SOON, Hell we still have Vietnam vets homeless (I should know Iam one of them). by the grace of my God, me and my son found some where to live but it was no help from the government that I served proudly during the Vietnam war. It will probably be worst for these new vets. Upon my desperate search for a helping hand from the veterans administration, they have turned they funding over to HUD, so you know how much help the vets are actually are going to get. MORE RED TAPE instead of handling it themselves.

maturity? that is what they are calling war flashbacks, these days?
I saw a few of those more mature people. one went on a killing spree in a grocery store, one destroyed a convienience store because he thought he saw guns pointed at him under the shelves, and another was picked up by police crawling through a park, getting ready to pounce on some unsupecting children and their parents, with a combat knife, before they could get him with the bombs he thought they had strapped to them.
its a sad fact, but war causes many more problems that outlast the war, for everyone but the people who made money of of it.

Considering how merciless and uncompassionate we Americans are, I would say that it won't be too awfully long before we start seeing more and more homeless iraqi war veterans on the streets.
The Dems are setting up our heroes for a disappointing homecoming. Isn't that why they want us to leave Iraq before we are sucessful there, so the libs can call our men and women in the armed forces, a bunch of looser, baby killers? You libs aren't fooling anyone.
McVeigh was just weak of mind and poor of spirit. And he is a prime example of why there should be close screening of returning troops, and a REAL support network for them when they come home.

Was mcveigh a homeless soldier?
How many are you going to house in your home?
These are brave men and woman who adapt well and many of whom will come back with a maturity that will enable them to excel in the workplace.

Seeing as I know many both vets and active duty.... I don't see it happening. One becomes homeless through accident, money problems, drugs etc. Not just because they are vets.
McVeigh was a psycho. A psycho will do what a psycho will do with little to no provocation.

It's a sad but nevertheless true fact. I don't think it will be long at all before these vets come back to find that they can't get jobs, and that the government will no longer support them.

Sooner than you think. CNN did a story on three soldiers that came back and had lost everything and are now living in the streets.
