I'm just curious, if communism has the state hire the people working for the companies, but they don't work, do they get fired? If so, doesn't that create a class of less fortunate, fired people over the people working? I suppose the only thing left to clarify in communist ideas is: How does the situation with having jobs and working play out?

I am FUMING right now. I own a home. I want to put up a nativity scene in my front lawn. The town ordinance bans this because of some separation of religion/state thing; HOWEVER, the town says it is all right to put up a santa scene. I just don’t get it… why is it all right to put up a fictional scene like santa, yet it is not all right to put up a nativity scene. Some consider Jesus to be fictional. Whatever your belief is, why should I suffer by not being allowed to express my artistic ability on MY OWN FRONT LAWN? I paid good money for my property only to be told what I can and can’t do with it during the seasons.

I got back at them though. I put up a “santa” scene where I got a miniature airplane and hung it like it was flying. I have santa “splattered” all over the window of this plane. They are trying to get that banned, but the court to backed me up.

My question is – Why can’t I do with my own front lawn what I choose to do with it???

...ie, a 6 foot tall 17 year old thug today got 2 1/2 years. Yes, 2 1/2 years, for punching and killing a 5 foot 1 man who had the nerve to confront him when he was vandalising his car - then what is wrong with a bit of vigilante justice? A convicted murderer, paedophile, rapist who gets let out after a pathetic sentence is strung up on a lampost with sign around his neck telling the world what he is, and why he's hanging there. Will the powers that be sit up and listen then? One day this will happen, and no one will be able to say "Oh, I didnt think it would come to this".

It was flawed in Iraq regarding WMD. Can we trust what we're hearing now? Is this a prelude to fighting another war?

Ok, many in america are so angry at the current administration, but dont the facts speak for themselves?

An example of a few:

1. Economy continues to prosper.
2. Stock market (Dow) at record highs.
3. Home Ownership at all time highs.
4. Unemployment at all time lows.
5. No terrorist attacks on US soil since we took the fight to them.
6. Nationwide, crime statistics are down double didgets over the past 5 years.

I mean, seriously, what more could anyone really ask for? How can one dispute that these facts are not the truth?

I remember two things about it: I laughed my head off at the reactions of the rich when their Mexicans disappeared, and I recall thinking that the movie was not that much of an exaggeration. Anyone else?

when it is the Fundementalist, Conservative Republican who has created the greatest debt, destroyed America's international good will and involved you in the greatest military fiasco in history. He has left the borders are unprotected and he wants to send more jobs overseas. He has presided over the erosion of personal rights and freedom and and brags that torture is alright it it is used to protect Americans. Are Americans simply ignorant, or are they just still afraid of the red menace ? They do seem to like China now.

i figure we would not have any more drug addicts or prostitutes than we have already (meaning legalizing it would not make people try these things that they would not have tried eventually anyway)...we can collect taxes off of the sales...places were it is legal like amsterdam, have no more or less crime than we have...it would lessen the stress on our jail system which we use tax money to fund anyway...what are yall opinions
