What is the size of US tax code (in pages) currently and how does it compare to 1994 when GOP took over?

The purpose is to see the level of reality in perception that GOP will simplify the tax code.

US tax code currently is housed in 7 5000 page books, I believe. Regardless of who is in control, tax code grows exponentially each year. Much of it is due to the incredible power the IRS has, not due to the party in power.
