I am for the idea.Face it,kids are going to have sex if they want to.At least with a condom maybe we can cut down on unwanted pregnancy and STD's.Protection saves lives. If I give you a gun to protect yourself that doesn't mean you have to go around shooting everyone, but you have it if you need it.Same principle with contraception.Better to have it just in case.

Do you believe the order to kill Alexander Litvinenko came from the Kremlin? And if not Russia, then who and why?

TO FRAME RUSSIA IS A LAME ANSWER.

Scientists at the UK's Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) had traced the source of the polonium 210 to a nuclear power plant in Russia.

With 33,000 people believed to have traveled in the past month on planes suspected of being contaminated, British authorities have been forced to reassure the public that the health risks are tiny unless the poison is swallowed or inhaled.

Why would Russia risk this many lives just to kill one man unless they really had something to hid?

It is a fact that he could have volunteered-he wasn't forced into the national guard-he was real quick to commit our kids to this war-but as a young man he did not have the patriotism to fight in Vietnam-these are facts-there is no way to put a spin on it. Oh yea I know Clinton did not go either.

When American Indians were forced to live on reservations, had their land stolen by anglos, and were killed or jailed unjustly were they or their surviving family members ever paid legally or apologized to? Would they in this day and age be considered POWs? In the history books was their ill treatment and slaughter ever referred to as a form of genocide?..any comments on these issues?

There is a bill (sponsored by one of Alaska's Republican senators) that will allow major corporations like cable companies and phone companies to block or slow down internet content they don't like -- for example, BellSouth blocking customers from myspace.com this past summer.

Is this a good thing, or should we help the ACLU in their opposition to this?

If the true cost of our "way of life" were to be calculated ( health [ all forms, physical and psychological] and environmental, would we as Americans still dedice to contribute to our own demise. I am painfully aware of our addicition and complacency in the matter, however this does not justify the ongoing destruction of life all around us via petroleum based issues (a.k.a pollution and war) So, the question is posed, can we sustain our "way of life" without petroleum? And if we could, how would that in turn shape the world around us and our role in it?

P.S. Take some time to really think about how we use petroleum. Truthfully it will take some time to wean ourselves from its hold on our society!

A local New York City newspaper ran a story about a project that I was involved in, specifically a real estate development. I handled the interior design of the model apartment.
The article certainly was biased against the project and developer for strictly personal reasons, but then went on to state that I am not an interior designer.
This is completely false as my work and my advertising will attest. I believe that the statement was made to intentionally discredit my reputation or mislead my potential clients.

I plan to write to the editor requesting a correction or retraction.
If they refuse to retract it, do I have a case should I decide to sue for libel?

sky harbor airpot in phoenix is about to become the first one in the country to test a controversial new federal screening system. a technology called backscatter takes close-up X -rays of the human body in order to detect explosives and other weapons. It has been around for several years but has not been widely used because it's been viewed as a violation of privacy. The TSA claims that normally graphic pictures can be blurred in certain areas while still being effective in detecting bombs and other threats. A sky harbor deputy aviation director said they've been asuured that passenger privacy will be protected. but can we really be assured? Is this a violation of privacy? would you refuse to walk through it? I think that this technology should be used for the military. they already have night vision goggles so why not make see-through X-ray goggles so they can scan a crowd and see who might have a bomb under their clothes. what do ya'll think about this?http://www.wpbf.com/travelgetaways/10438996/detail.html#

In Qunice, Mass an IHOP wants your dirivers' license before they will seat you. They claim it is to stop people from leavig without paying the bill. Customers fear identify theft.
(1)Whose side do you take? -might depend on your job experience
(2)If it was your ID would you hand it over?

IHOP released a statement - it would reverse the policy immediately.

My former employer thought I was petty stealing. I could tell by some of the comments that were made. The problem is that she and my current boss have a mutual acquaintance. As one can imagine she lied and told her stories of why she believed I was stealing. I am 100% innocent. I have never taken anything from any job. Like they say if you look hard enough you're going to think you see something even when it's not really there. That's exactly how I feel. My current boss now has the whole company keeping an eye on me. Yesterday they made this quite obvious. I feel degraded. I didn't sleep all night. I also, suspect that she has them searching my purse when I'm not looking. on several occasions, someone was standing by my purse giggling. Things seemed out of place. Everyone seems to think it's funny, but I'm very hurt. What should I do?
