Yes, I believe Russia and Putin are the culprits. Putin's past as a KGB agent is hard to escape and I am sure he is influenced in the present by the KGB's nefarious deeds of the past.

I live in Russia - our mass media say, that polonium is not dangerous if you do not eat it and on my eyes a scientist took it with his naked hand. They also said that anyone can buy polonium by the Internet. (http://www.unitednuclear.com/isotopes.htm )
KGB many times killed people and did it very quietly, imperceptibly. They never make errors, particulary big errors. What for will KGB throw polonium in planes? It is nonsence.
I think nobody of theese passangers will not die because of polonium.
if anybody of civilians die because of polonium... It is not advantageous nor for russia nor for putin nor for kgb. But it will be advantageous for anti-russian forces. So may be someone will die if it is so advantageous.

People must remember that there are still a lot of hard core communists in the former soviet republics. I really don't think you can blame Russia, but this incident is a reminder that there are still remnants of the cold war, in saying that, this individual may have had much knowledge of something sinister. Of what? Who knows. The investigation should surface something.

it was the u.s and it's close allies that poisoned him, since a thief or crook would never steal from the people who would recognise him so why would russia poison him when it's obvious the blame is going to go down on them.anyway russia has far more advanced methods of assinating people e.g toxic poisons, poison darts, even the good old fashioned bullet. so i see no sense in thier agents doing this when clearly they left a trail of radiation in lots of places and in fact even the assasins themselves are in danger of getting poisoned them selves. beacuse russia is once again a superpower in gas, oil ,arms, economics etc, countires like the u.s and it's allies have a lot to gain by discrediting russia, since thier invasion of iraq is looked on by the world as another act of evil commited by the u.s.

I never trust countries outside of U.S. Russia especially. Did you know that there is a lot of oil being drilled out of russia? what do you think they are doing with all the money?? how about rebuilding their military. See countries that once fell, or lost wars to us pretend to be our friends, but still hold a grudge against us. I also believe we will be fighting them one day.
