Tolls on motorways, council tax going up, charges on rubbish collection, where will it all end?

Aaaaaargggggh..... don't get me started on the Government, they are the most despicable people alive.

It is legal to torture animals for profit, to fly/ship bombs out to foreign countries to bomb children and to go and kill people for your own Government's greedy and evil agenda.

But it is illegal to sit in your room and get high (even though you're not harming anyone), to smoke in a public place (unless you are a member of the House of Commons), to protest the war (an illegal war at that) and if that piece of **** Blair gets his wish, to refuse an ID card (£2,000 fine).

So yeah... I find Government utterly, utterly vile.

All governments push the people to the limit. They get elected on a manifesto which they usually ignore once voted into office.

The tolls on motorways will probably not come in for at least 14 years - there has to be a big debate about that first. There's a problem with public transport in that the trains are already over crowded. The gov have shelved plans to built two (possibly three) high speed rail links running north/south over UK.

We've got a serious problem with transport in general. The roads are jammed up and the trains over crowded. What do do? People want to travel. Virgin trains are going to add an extra carriage to their trains any time soon. Well, it's a start.

Council tax will continue to go up there's not much can be done about that. If you want lower council tax then you'll need to shed a few local services. This can only come about by a complete change of power at local level. In other words, if you're not happy with what's happening in your borough, you could try voting for an alternative party next time. Oh dear. Don't tell me - you forgot to vote last time. Oops.

Motorways and rubbish collection and other services all cost money. Either we pay through taxes or through charges. What's your alternative?

If more of the money is raised through charges on using services - like motorway tolls - then either the taxes could come down or we would have more money for things like the NHS.

I've got no time for this Government - they have presided over greater poverty, more erosion of our freedoms, and an illegal war - but funding services through charges is one of their better ideas.....

No, They`ve pushed us over the limit. If they bring in that carbon tax they`re talking about they`ll finally have taxed the air we breath as all living things exhale carbon dioxide.

What beats me is why the always get some foreigner to do a report on what they`ve already decided on

I agree, they just go up and up! I don't mind them putting charges on the roads to reduce congestion but what really annoys me is that they don't do anything to make it cheaper to use public transport! Yet again the train fares are rising well above inflation in the new year as do the bonuses that the company fat cats get. Isn't it about time they started using these added taxes on us to make our public transport cheaper and more efficient?!

With a country full of chavs who are on benefits so have reduced council tax, don't drive because they're banned and throw their rubbish in the bins in the park, then the taxes won't matter because no one will be paying them.

It ends when you say it ends or you live in a police state. The government will go as far as taking away all your money and treating you as a slave. That is where it ends.
