It happened with alcohol, then they decided that was a bad idea.
They did it with drugs, and they STILL think it's a good idea..
They're beginning it with cigarettes (banned indoors, certain municipalities banned all smoking unless in one's home.)
Food has it's advocates
Many people still believe in faith healing and want EVERYTHING that effects you to be banned.

Whats going on? Since when did government become an instrument of enforcing personal morality? Even medieval societies had no drug bans or protectionist measure as punitive as those we have today.
Of course that is hyperbole, but you can see what I'm saying.
Why doesn't anybody believe in FREEDOM anymore? We totally agree with ever more intrusive acts by government, just because TV news has made life so sensationalistic and hyperimportant. The majority of citizens take the excited media as truth.
It's real easy to make up a problem and offer a "solution" that ultimately empowers the powers that be.

I thought we are all friends however, i ask a question about what is going to happen with iraq and all i get is old politics or bad mouthing my spellings. please can people just answer questions if you dont have anything good to say please dont answer. I like american people i just dont like american and british politics at the moment. i thought we were on the same side i guess were are not anymore. If we are not why does europe not cut ties with the usa and sign nice big fat contracts with india and china and cut the usa out. that would soon kill off the usa. The EU is the world's biggest economy, and the world's biggest capitalist marketplace; according to World Bank data, it had a combined GDP in 2005 of more than $12 trillion. all they need is to join together and create a big army and they will be the biggest super power.

The President of Iran says we should surrender in Iraq, tuck tail and run. Since the only Americans there are there because I voted to stick them there, before I voted to not stick them there, we should just go home; I guess.

How hard is it to prove embezzlement or prosecute? We have an ex-employee who was writing payroll checks to regular employees who didn't work those weeks and cashing them himself. We found one for sure, but must we go back through every single check for every employee and look for more or can we prosecute based on the one?

Do you see similarities between Jihad,La Raza, and MEChA ?

They all preach to occupy America and destroy it from with in, to spread out and kill the white people. All three have the same idea, to accept their ways, their belifes, or be slain.

We have people entering America that hate us, and refuse to accept our values. They have all made statements about killing whites, and attempting to bind their vision of hatred to religion.

They say history repeats its self, will we see the birth of a new Nazi reighn ?

Maybe it is time to say only the brightest should lead. We elect our politicians on how much support they get from business and parties but do they really have an intellect that would make them a good leader or do they just have clout? The mafia has clout, maybe they should lead?
