There is no legal time limit.
Morally, it all depends on how the previous marriage ended and whether the emotions attached to it have been healed, how any children and other family members might feel about the new marriage.
Separation, divource or death; there are many ways for a previous marriage to have ended and they all carry different reasons whether the next marriage should wait a few months or years.
It is up to the new couple when they feel they are ready, but most people take into account other people's feelings, opinions and in the case of nasty divources, their lawyer's advice.
If the previous spouse has passed away, one would wait an appropriate time before re-marrying, but that can be as little as a few months. In my own case, if I died, I wouldn't want my wife to jump up and re-marry the next day, but I wouldn't want her to miss a good man if he happended into her life at the right time.

It depends on what eneded the previuos marriage and if there are kids involved. Generally,there's no time limit to remarry though some faiths prescribed some. A lot will depend on what the person wants. Its advisable to allow a cool off time of about 3months to 1year before making another committment. Better late than never.

If you mean how long do you have to give before you can marry again after a divorce.
The answer to that is, provided all the legal matters are settled then there is nothing to stop you. But at the same time is this not jumping from the fat to the fire. Regards Sheila.

well ... if you have another women in your heart.. then i think that there should not be a period... you can marry next day of divorcing... That is in Islam.. and for men..
in Islam.. for women... in a divorce case she need as i remember... 40 days.. and then she can get married... these 40 days just to change the nature of her body.. have her term and be ready to receive a new man...
(it is like make the women psychology ready)
