Why do the people who live in cities that could be attacked by terrorists hate Bush for increasing the threat of terrorism and the people who live in places that will never be hit love Bush for protecting the US? Bush lost LA, DC, NY, and won Kansas, Alabama, Oklahoma.

Is there any way that Americans could bring down their own national government by blocking its efforts to siphon revenue away from them? Let's suppose that they really, really wanted to do this. Could they? And, if so, how?

Assuming the draft was reinstated, would they draft a namesake? My step-son is the last male in his family to carry on the name and I'm just wondering if they'd draft him?

How often does a lawyer (particularly in California) have to submit their MCLE credits? Is it every 3 years? 4 years? So on . . . I can't seem to find the info on the State Bar of California website.

What proof does anybody have - anything at all, just one little piece, that the war was for oil? Have you seen the price of gas? Where are the tankers lining up at the ports with full loads of free oil? Some one tell me please!!!!!

I had insurance, and just got it replaced for $50. This time I thought I would wait, collect all the numbers the person calls for several days. I thought about calling the numbers this morning, but I do not think I could find out who has it that way.
So, Monday, I am thinking about turning all the information in on numbers called, and filing a police report?
What does anyone think is the best course of action. The phone cost over $200 with a 2 year contract. If I file it on insurance again--2 strikes in a year, then you are cut off of insurance Plus it costs another $50--not counting the $5/a month payed.
Any suggestions will be appreciated?

As most of you know I got a speeding ticket the other night. I was going to make a court date and ask the judge if I could pay the ticket and take a drivers improvment class instead of the points on my license. I was wondering if before I made a court date should I go to the police station and ask to talk to the cop who gave me the ticket. Explain to him that I cannot have the points on my license but I am going to pay the ticket and take full responsiblity for it. I was going to ask the judge for a drivers improvment class instead of the points and if I made a court date if he would show up and say that would be a good idea or something. Now my question would be should I talk to the cop who gave me the ticket before I make a court date or should I just make the court date and talk to the judge by me self????

When you cash a cheque, your account number is revealed in the back even though you did not give anyone your account number. The bank has failed to protect you as a customer, in case someone gave you a fradulent cheque just to get at your account number. There is the privacy act many organizations have to deal with their customers. I have worked for the government, to me it is a breach of trust.

If anything went wrong with your bank account, can you hold the bank accountable but also being noted as a Bank's error? I keep my address separate on the bank statement from my street address which goes into a postal box. I was thinking about things today, the bank is not protecting you as a customer. I have a finance background, cancelled cheques do reveal a person's bank account (signature and where it was deposited).

I am about to enlist in the Air Force, and I am interested in SERE.
I've been a Ninja my whole life, so sneaking, and living off the land ar'nt anything out of my norm. What would I get to learn, and do?
Is this part of any kind of special forces? If not, could I request to be transferred to it from SERE? Im interested in learning guns, combat, sneaking, psychological warfare, prisoner interrogation, medic skills and anything useful if the world goes to hell in a handbasket.
Does SERE ever get sent to retrieve someone behind enemy lines? How would I get to be a medic on elite missions, special forces, ect.

The challenges before us require more than rhetoric. The United Nations was created following a costly extended war. Its charter was based on Franklin Roosevelt's clarion call for freedom for all peoples. The preamble champions "fundamental human rights… the dignity and worth of the human person… equal rights of men and women." That theme, pursuant to a bi-partisan commitment by the United States, is gradually being realized, but the United Nations is, regrettably, unable and apparently unwilling to lead or even participate in the pursuit of that goal. It has practically absented itself from any realistic contributions to the struggle to achieve democracy and human dignity for those who do not enjoy those benefits.

Since the U.N.'s creation. millions of human beings have been killed, maimed, starved, tortured or raped by brutal rulers. To mention Cambodia, Congo, Somalia, China, North Korea, Kosovo, and Chechnya is to list just a few. And the US pays 22% of the UN budget. Why?
