the min. you can enlist for is four years, but you can end up serving less time for different reasons.

I believe two years is the shortest active duty enlistment, however, what most people don't realize is that once they enlist, in ANY service, active or reserve, is that you have committed yourself to serve in some capacity for EIGHT years! It's right on the first page of the contract. What that means is, once your active duty commitment is done, you're still subject to being ordered back to duty until your eight years are up.

There is no minimum amount of time that you can serve in the US Air Force, unless you become injured or sick
as to where you can no longer be able to perform your military duties, at which time you will be discharged.

Two years is the minimum. You might not get all the benefits as you would with a four year join. It is a hard thingto get but they do it.
