we would have the same problem with them? It just so happens that Mexico borders us. That's why the focus is on Mexicans. But you know that we wouyld have the same problem if we were bordered by other POOR countries. Are they are just doing what anyone would do in the same situation?

I am not supporting Ahmadinejad! I am talking about what he said. What he tried to bring to light for the world to see. He was so instantly deemed "propagandist" that the important things that were said were completely ignored. I don't care about who or what he is, but the words in the speech directly confront what Americans know and fear. How long can our country sustain itself with such a dishonest and corrupt government? Take that completely away from the context of who said it and think about the question itself!

I was pondering this when I was out running this morning and saw a cruiser missing its hubcaps. Who do the police call when they need the police?

For example, if there is a problem is Hati all the Hatians don't want to move to say Mexico, India, or any place in south America, they feel they have a right to come to the US. When there was a problem in el salvador all the people came here to the US and then formed MS-13. When there was a problem in Somalia we started a program bringing them into the US.

In the muslim and african world the people there say whites are evil and christians are infedels, but then move in huge numbers to places like France, Germany, and England where they take free goverment services.

Why is it also that Mexico and south american countries have much tougher immigration laws than the US, even though nobody wants to move there?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so
by the exertions of better men than himself."

-John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

The reason I hold this quote in such high regard and hold it as one
of my favourites is because Mill expressed what I believe to be a truth, that is, that if we believe that Democracy is truly an important ideal, than we must be willing to protect it at a cost which may not be a pleasant one.
In this day and age of global terrorism, it is the duty of all freedom
loving countries to align themselves and demand that terrorists be brought to justice. Merely wishing that it happen will not make it happen

About 3 months ago, my wife contacted the FBI regarding something she saw on the internet that had troubled her. I did not know anything about this, and earlier this morning, while she was gone, 2 FBI agents came to see her.

It's not every day I get people with guns showing up at my house, and they did not tell me off the bat why they were there, so naturally, I was a bit nervous. Ok, very nervous. They asked to see my drivers license for "the record", and I asked how I could be sure they were FBI, so they showed me their badges and credentials. so I asked them to wait, shut the door and started walking to my bedroom to get my wallet off my dresser.

Turn around when I heard something, and low and behold, one of the agents was following me through my house and into my bedroom. He said he wanted to make sure I was not going for a gun. I would like to know, can they just walk into your house without a warrent like that? Are the FBI above the law now?

I didn't know the reason why Bush wants exoneration now for his torturing, the Red Cross is/will interview 'detainees' and it's expected they will recount their torture there. My question is, if the President of the United States is charged with war crimes in office and by presumably an international court, WHAT HAPPENS?

I am a sikh, but although personally i have not had problems, sikhs and hindus alike have been frowned upon and treated differently because of all of this. Can we highlight to each other what the differences are between them in appearance and mentality. I am in no way saying that you should aim your slander at those you know are muslims and not those who aren't because its a minority few muslims who have messed it up for everyone and you shouldn't be verbally or physically abusing anyone anyways.
