Whoa, this is the truth that everyone should see before enlisting. Thank you for sharing this, everyone should see it. It should be on the news, to help all may a more informed decision.

Hmm... Not bad, but it still isn't the whole truth. Where's the middle ground? You can't use both extremes to argue this. Unless you have been there, talked to guys from all duty stations, from all Rates and MOSes, you can't truly know.
The military is hard. They don't want psycho killers. They want people who can keep calm in high stress situations, and think straight. Anything else results in dead soldiers, sailors, and airmen.
You may very well end up in the Middle East. You might end up on embassy duty. Or, on weather station duty. Or, on a base in the states. Or, like me, on a riverboat in South America, fighting against the trafficing of drugs, while A-10's wiped out tank collumns in the first Persian Gulf War. You don't know where you will go, so don't believe anybody's hype. Not the author's, not the recruiter's, not mine. It's your life. Live it. Make your own mind up.

Well knowing about enlistments happened all the time, during the wars. Many men knew that if they enlisted the chances of them being sent overseas was less. Many young Fathers, who did not want to leave the wife and children behind and get sent to Germany/Japan, would enlist. Other wise the other options was to get drafted. All the men of this country should be ready and on alert in case of war. This country is now at the verge of that. With all the fighting and terrorists trying to invade our land of Freedom, our Government will start to draft all young men. So it would be better to enlist. I don't know what all the fuss is about, in regards to the recruiters, My brother was an Army Recruiter. He babied no man. But he was honest, with all of them, both men and women. Yep, I am sure our country wants to be prepared with enlisted men/women. But if worse comes to worse, you and others will be drafted to protect this country.

Anyone can find a few disgruntled and make it play like it's the real deal. Why even play video of Viet Nam?..that was when the draft was in effect. You an find people who will tell you not to apply at Disneyland, Microsoft, IBM, and another line of work. Ignore the B/S and do what you feel is right. Thank God for the brave men and women of the finest military in the world!

Any person entering the military would have to be rather unknowing or plain stupid, not to know what is entailed when entering the military. They even take an oath, which is totally explanatory of what is expected of them.
Their sole purpose is to serve and protect.. If that should need further explanation, they should be restricted to kitchen duties.

A quick note to teenagers: For GOD SAKES study hard in school and plan to go to college. You CAN DO IT and IT WILL make a difference in your life. As this video demonstrates, people without other options end up in the military and are forced to kill and to die. Do yourself a favor and log out of Yahoo now and do some homework!

Good question and I don't see many people enlisting as much as running their mouth against what point you are trying to make.If they enlisted the draft people would blow , but Bush won't let that happin as he doesn't want to blow his big cover on his mess and plans.

a liberal election TV ad does not constitute the truth. I served in the USMC and everything I was told happened! This is a sorry excuse to not serve the country that gives people freedom to produce such hate as this!!!
