Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Tuesday that Congress should require Internet service providers to preserve customer records, asserting that prosecutors need them to fight child pornography. Testifying to a Senate panel, Gonzales acknowledged the concerns of some company executives who say legislation might be overly intrusive and encroach on customers' privacy rights. But he said the growing threat of child pornography over the Internet was too great.

Here is the next in the Fourth Reich's (read: Bush Administration's) policies that is leading our country into a fascist regime where the citizens have no privacy and no rights. Americans need to take heed. Soon, the American Secret Police will be goose-stepping straight for your doors.

I live in a condo and the mailbox is across the street. The problem is that people will park there car in front of the mailbox and the mailman will refuse to deliver the mail He will put a note on the car saying not to block the mail box. But the people still do it anyway, The question, is that considered tampering with the mail because that prevents me from getting my mail and as well other 11 units that live here? I'm thinking about putting a sign there saying "PLEASE DONT PARK IN FRONT OF THE MAILBOX, DOING SO WILL PREVENT US GETTING MAIL. FAILURE TO COMPLY IS CONSIDERED TAMPERING WITH THE MAIL." Do you think that will work?

The kid's in early teens. The dad just got custody of the son.
The problem is, dad refuses to speak the the Mom for any reason.
She leaves messages about dental & dr. appts. but he ignores them. The kid has no supervision from 8pm-12am-dad works nights. He's now smoking and cursing just like dad. Last visit Mom found 2 unused condoms in his bag & when he left he hadn't used the toothbrush or toothpaste she put in his bathroom. How can the Mom care for her son? Will she have to go back to court? Can that be considered Neglect? Is the kids age a factor?
Sorry it's so long.

I havent been called for dury duty or anything but i was just wondering what are the ways you can get out of dury duty?is there any other way other than medical reasons or you knowing the defendant.i would not like it one bit if i was called up for jury duty.it is completely against my morals to judge someone and i have hang ups about the law.i just think its weird.i thought it was against the law to make someone do something against their will.how do they justify it.

My ex was in an accident at work a couple months ago and is still in the hospital. We have agreed that we would like to lower the amount of child support that he is required to pay, which will in fact be beneficial to us both. I don't have the money to hire a lawyer, and would like to fill out the paper myself and submit it to the courts, but I don't know where to start??

Hello! I would like to join the Air Force, and become career military. I have a BS already, and considered applying for OCS. However, I am on Paxil for obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic attacks. Unfortunatly, I will probably have to be on these things for the rest of my life. Does this preclude me from joining the air force? Should I just forget about it? Thanks.

my child lied about their age on the internet, and i dont know how the company operates but they have sent a letter stating that she owes £100 for signing up to an internet site that offers free texts. Can this site do this? She gave a false name and age but they have written on the letter they have our IP and although the false name is there they have our address too. I have searched for answers on the internet and a forum has been setup for people who have also been affected by this but it has little help.Anybody under the age of 18 cant join tho It states on the site that a person over 18 scan verify this on behalf, either over the phone or internet using credit card but none of this was done, now a letter has came through saying that money is owed and when i called the helpdesk and mentioned and she was under 18 and used a different name so how, they said they would get solicitors involved and threatened to call the police saying its identity fraud,
