Just finished watching ENRON: The Smartest Guys in the Room and once again wtinessed how they wished California would break off from the U.S. and sink to the ocean. I happen to love California. One line from the documentary that was really awful was: "What is the difference between California and the Titanic?" The Titanic went down with electricity." Any thoughts?

When Pope Benedict recently delivered a lecture and managed to find the time and space to take a swipe at Islam, the Prophet Mohammed and effectively every Muslim, he must have expected the kind of reaction that followed across the Muslim world. If he hadn't, then he has either been on another planet these last few years or he shouldn't be in the high position he is.

What makes the Pope's words even more incredible is that he conveniently chose to ignore the reality that whilst the Catholic church was cementing the barbarism of Europe's dark ages for centuries, in which atrocities of unspeakable volumes within its lands and beyond were committed under its very guise and with its blessings, the Muslim world stretching from southern Europe to the far borders of China was busy writing literature, philosophy, art, architecture, medicine, chemistry, physics, biology, algebra and music.

From the above, i can only conclude that this POPE is a corrupt one at best & playing the hate game.

Many people tell me that i'm a republican or democrat, and I’m not very educated in the matter since i’m still young. This is what I believe on the issues
pro-life, against the death penalty, more government programs for education even if it means higher taxes (will benefit society), against gay marriage, believe that we need to do better on protecting the environment, do not believe that the war was justified, believe that we should shut down the boarders and not give amnesty to illegals, believe in fair trade, not free trade, believe in gun ownership that is supported by the constitution, I believe in worker unions and teacher tenure. I don't believe in price gauging and believe if thats the case, the govt should be involved. Thats to name a few

It seems that a pre-emptive murder against someone who said they were going to murder me would be justified. Now let me be clear the person did nothing but verbally say " i'm going to kill you " and then in response I actually did murder them.

It seems our government has this right and I just wanted to know if all US citizens enjoyed this right. You kill them before they have a chance to kill you.

Campaigning for this year's mid-term elections will likely turn negative very quickly -- if they haven't already. A lot is at stake for both major political parties.

Will you be affected by the negative campaign ads?

You know the kind -- 30-second TV spots, grainy footage of a political opponent, a somber voice talking in contrary terms -- "So-and-so promised to vote against new taxes, but voted for them 8 BILLION TIMES" or "So-and-so pledges to keep America safe, but accepted donations from a LIBERAL group that was against the Iraq War and probably even SUPPORTS TERRORISTS."

Do you ignore these ads? Or do they make you second-guess a candidate? Or do they turn you off the candidate who uses them?

Thanks for your time.

(The following was brought to you by no specific political party whatsoever.)
