Q: How come more troops were killed today?
A: because it is a war with bombs and guns and people getting killed, thats what happens in a war

Q: Will this go on forever?
A: No, nothing goes on forever.

Q: Or will the Iraq war end on Jan 09
A: no, the war will not end on Jan 09, because there is no state to defeat and no group to surrender, this war will not "end" at any one point, although it may shift or decrease to a much lower level of violence

Q: When will we cut and run?
A: When the people in charge decide that the cost is not worlth the goal or that the goal is not reachable, or

when cowardice takes over and we run even though we actually believe the goal is reachable and worth it

Because the Iraqi insurgents are cowards and they hide behind innocent civilians. I don't think it will go on forever, but it may go on for a long period, who knows. As for the war having a set date on ending, I don't see that happening, only time will tell. America does not cut and run...We approach our mission with full force and it will be accomplished!

We're involved in a high-stakes game of live-action Risk that has no foreseeable likelihood of ending until the resources worth fighting over are entirely gone.

If you want to get out of Iraq right now, you and I are going to have to sneak in there after dark, set fire to the oil fields and dump the contents of the banks in a remote sea; press onward, then repeat.

Because wea re in a war. War is that way. The problem is that we have been applying a "Marcus of Queensberry " rule to fighting wars in the past few years - Korea, Viet Nam, et al. WAR IS NOT NICE. Just like a street fight is not nice.

Plus... How do you negotiate with the beginining statement of "I want to kill you because you are an infidel"??? Do you negotiate how they kill you?

These ARE NOT nice level headed people. They are wanting to kill us. No negotiations no nothing. If we leave they will jusst follow us. They must!.

Oh, by athe way ...more people are klled by drunk or impared drivers in a m onth than have been killed in Iraq... Think about it.. Do we ban cars????

erudite, u anti-american scumbag, where have you been? haven't seen anything from you in awhile. you know you really need to get over the fact that the military screwed you over in the 70's and that people are treating the troops of today with more respect. although i was born in the 80's i do feel bad that you were treated like crap when you got back from vietnam, but don't make today's troops go through what you went through.
