The vast majority of Congress doesn't know how to play nice, or work together, or reach rational moderate agreements and results.
And the executive branch certainly needs to be sent to time out, for refusing to follow the laws, and claiming it has the right to ignore the laws whenever it feels like it.
South Dakota openly defies the federal courts, and wants to dismantle the concept of an independent judiciary.
The list goes on. And on. And on. Too many people in power are only concerned with keeping their power, and have abandoned any concept of checks-and-balances, or actual representation of their constituents, let alone rational problem-solving.
