I agree, if you left it there for that long, they may have thought it was abandoned or stolen. There doesnt have to be a sign posted, if its left there for more than a week, they can legally tow it.

it may desire to matter on your state's regulation. In my state, the owner of the parking zone is had to submit an illustration indicating whilst a vehicle may be towed, the utmost effective for towing and the area and/or telephone # of the place you are able to retrieve your motor vehicle if towed. If there is not any sign approximately towing, then your vehicle don't have been towed. I additionally found out that in the time of the journey that your vehicle replaced into towed, you will get well as much as 3 situations the fee you paid. In residential factors, in case you park on the line, you are able to not be towed. yet once you parked on the line and blocked somebody's driveway, then you definately could be towed. and of course, in case you parked in somebody's private driveway, you would be towed at your price.

It depends on your city's street parking guidelines. For instance in my city if you leave your car parked for longer than 24 hours they give you a ticket saying move it in 24 hours or it will be towed. Maybe that is the same in your city. You can go to city hall and check the parkinf policies in your city too.

First of all, what were the grounds to be towed? If it's not posted, you are legally allowed to park. If, however, you left it there - and it appeared abandoned, the police can tow it.

Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense! Just pay the fine, learn your community laws and move on in life!

Nothing! That was your fault. If you get a lawyer it may help. Lawyers cost sooooooo much I would just go to court, and pay your small fine.
