My mother owns a duplex.. We bought it together so she lives there and I rent studio on the same street. She took a vacation to do some renovation of her apt. I am helping her paint the walls, replacing light fixtures, etc. Three months ago we gave 1/2
the money to replace windows ($4,500). Yesterday, the guys showed up at my mothers door steps to replace these windows.

They did a hell of a job, fast with no problems BUT the salesman who sold us the windows showed different windows then ones they installed yesterday (which are cheaper windows).
She tried to stop them and told them not to replace it but they didnt listen.

She didn’t give them the other half of the balance. The fact that they did this to a woman with no husband and hardly speaks english really pisses me off.

I only live here with a green card...what are my actions? Is it worth bringing in a lawyer cause I cant really afford one? What would you do?

I have narrowed it down to 7 MOS possibilities. I have based these MOS's on my education, ASVAB and my prior experience. Also with the jobs that offer the student loan repayment program. The MOS's are 31s/25p (Microwave sys. Maint), 31r/25q (multichannel sys. oper), 25s (satelite comm maint), 33w (military intel sys maint), 94d (air traffic control equip repairer), 94L(avionics comm repairer) and 94m (radar repairer). The description of each seems as if I wouldnt mind doing them for the time in length that I am enlisting. my recruiter says that I will be able to qualify for either of them. My question is can anyone please tell me what the jobs are like and what kind of job I can get in the civilian world with knowledge experience and the education that the Army will give me? I have a wife and kids and Im just wondering which job I will benifit the most from. which one of the positions has a higher rate of employment in the civilian world. any thoughts or suggestions would help. anythin

Can anyone tell me the TRUE laws regarding rest periods at work in the UK.
We have been told at work that we are no longer allowed tea breaks.
The full time workers work 9am to 5pm and have a half an hour unpaid lunch break.
I work part time (11am - 4pm) with no break for lunch.
The full time workers have been told if they want a break they have to either come in earlier or stay later and the break will still be unpaid.

I need to find out the true law regarding this as soon as possible with a source to back it up.

Alqeda has chopped off heads of Americans and civilians and bombed civilians (intentionally). The Geneva Convention was intended for rules of engagement for "uniformed soldiers" and did not even protect spies. Why would we extend these rules to those who do not qualify by deffinition nor would they follow these rules even if we did? I know a big deal is being made of McCain breaking ranks with Republicans, but where do the democrats stand on this? I just think this is very silly. We are getting to the point that we will catch bin Laden and have to release him because they forgot to "Marandise" him.

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF

AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona) who created the "tent city jail"

He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights.

Cut off all but "G" movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work

on county and city projects. Then he started chain gangs for women

so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.

He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order

that required cable TV for jails. So he hooked up the cable TV again only

let in the Disney channel and the weather channel.

When asked why the weather channel he replied, so they will know how hot

it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs.
