I would guess that, perhaps, the shooter disobeyed the bans.

There is no gun ban in Canada. It's just as easy to buy a gun in Canada as it is in the States. The difference is that most Canadians CHOOSE not to own a gun.

They don't have gun bans. They are not a violent society like the U.S., they have more guns proportionally but they use them for hunting. Of course that doesn't guarantee some video game fanatic won't go around shooting people, laws can't prevent that, they are isolated cases that may occur in all societies. We just have to deal with it, and try to educate people better.

It is a fact that criminals don't follow laws, yet politicians continue to pass strict gun laws that only prevent law-abiding citizens from defending themselves against such criminals.

Do politicians think for a minute that these guys purchase their guns from stores? They get them from the street, and will continue to do so. They are basically immune from any gun control initiatives and laugh at the stupidity of government and their lame attempt to control crime. Such idiocy only emboldens criminals further because they know that the general populace cannot defend themselves with their own firearms.

Canadian politicians don't get it.

I was a republican now i'm a democrat after watching loose change. How could the govt do that to its own people. Oh and it was probably some NRA rightwing, neocon, religious right nutjob from the states.

There must be a conspiracy afoot here. I think the Loose Change losers need to build a case for Bush/Rove involvement.
