"not coming back" doesn't it bother you that the conservatives cheaped out on armor for your brother's location. That they contributed to his death?

Classic example is mocking Senator Kerry's war record, even after President Bush said he admires Kerry's military record. The faked photos of Kerry with Fonda. Is this what conservatives have come to, false propaganda and attacking veterans?

2 of my brothers have been killed fighting for America. If they would have had better armor, they might be alive today.

I know.

It makes me think they are all of 10 years old.

Bush lies them into an unnecessary situation in Iraq and when decorated Nam vets oppose Bush, they attack the decorated veterans.

They try to slander with silly political Rovian style tactics like " he shot himself in the foot" so he didnt really earn all those medals..etc. Im waiting for Jeb to run against Mcain and watch them cry "Mcain really locked himself inside that bamboo cage for political gain".

Sick.

Of course that is a strategy of the neo-cons. Demonizing the opponent is the easiest, cheapest and most mean strategy that can be driven.

For example, take Rick Santorums(R) campaign for Senate. He falsely portrayed Sen. Cleland(D) as a traitor, a coward and a friend of Osama bin Laden. Sen. Cleland lost both legs and one arm in Vietnam, while Rick Santorum never even served.

The tactics the neocons deploy belong to the most deplorable, disgusting and despicable ever devised. I would be insulted to be in the same room with a vile pig like Rick Santorum.

More Liberals mock American War Heroes than conservatives. Then there is Kerry possible self in flicked splinter. Is he worth mocking? I know individuals that were hurt in action that got no medals because they didn't ask.

Being a decorated war veteran does not make someone immune from criticism of their sometimes misguided opinions. A person needs to be able to soundly defend their viewpoint, regardless of who they are.

How can you have the gall and audacity to taunt someone whose brother was killed in the war?

I would challenge you to go try to say something like that to the face of someone who has suffered the loss of a loved one.

You are a despicable creep (but then again, you probably already knew that).

Cite an example, your question is far too vague.

I'm a Conservative, I've served 19 years in the USAF. I have many decorations. Been deployed three times....

I've never mocked myself, my peers or any other veterans.

Please cite an example.

they had "different priorities". i became way previous surprised whilst the Bush/Cheney cabal portrayed themselves as enormous militia heroes at the same time as portraying Kerry as a militia poultry. This became executed for the period of the 2006 campaign. I wish u . s . a . all the desirable along with her efforts to charm to the desirable and the brightest for destiny militia desires. pondering the extra moderen background of crapping on the two previous and modern squaddies.

I dont' think that's true either.... Its possible that specific ones are mocked since they may have positions counter to the conservatives. But in general Conservatives are very supportive of the military.

You mean John Kerry who self inflicted wounds to get out of vietnam early?

2006-09-14 08:24:54 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 2

Are you talking about the guy who purposely injured himself to get out of Vietnam after only four months (John Kerry) or the guy who is accusing today's Marines of being murderers, rapists, and terrorists (Congressman Murtha). Hmmmm I wonder why anyone would want to bust on these two guys.
