Looking for proof that Step child will go back top grandparents under arizona law.

Did the step parent adopt the child?

The birth family can always try and get custody.

Unless the step-parent legally adopted the child, the child should go to the closest living relative -other biological parent or grandparent, whichever is available, UNLESS custody is specified in the will of the deceased parent. Some states will let you specify, some have weird rules about it. If you have this concern yourself, check with your lawyer.

need more information.. step parent if step parent has legally adopted child. biological father if still around...50/50 in court between step and grandparents......

The bith parents "will" or "trust" should address the custody of minor children. Otherwise the courts will determine custody.
