I was talking to a friend about a lawsuit that was filed against me earlier this year. I was served only a week and a half prior to the court date and she told me that they are required to serve me a month before the court date. I wasn't able to make the court date on such short notice due to work and judgement was found against me. Is there a chance I can appeal this judgement since proper procedure wasn't followed. Was my friend right?

What is the difference between the french resistance in world war two who continued to fight their occupiers even after their government had surrendered and the Insurgents in Iraq who continued to fight their occupiers even after their government had surrendered?

Serious question, why hate freedom fighters in Iraq but support them in france?

Its odd isnt it, but maybe the people are finally waking up to realize the truth , that all politicians are crooks out for their own prosperity by spitting on "the people". If they truly cared they'd cut there salary down and give the difference to the people. I think they can do with not having several homes and several cars yet there are people without either.....They should have a section during voting for none of the above, maybe they'd get the hint when , none of the above wins......your thoughts?

I think murders should be executed upon conviction, rapist gang raped and killed, child molestors the same, and robbers shot dead. I don't believe in probation. Most of the crimes in my city are being committed by repeat offenders out on 'probation"/ I think white color criminals should spend time in prison but the punishment should not be as harsh because their crimes are not violent.

I know that I'm opening myself up for alot of people to be rude and crude and irrational but:

I think that the military members should be paid more. This has been something that has been eating at me for a while. We have people like Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, etc, getting paid millions of dollars to do stupid, pointless movies that the plot line has just been reworded from some other movie, but yet our troops are barely given enough to sustain themselves and or their families on. I personally believe that the troops should be paid more. What do you think? Do you think its fair that we have idiots like Tom Cruise who are willing to jump up and down on a couch getting paid millions of dollars and that we don't pay enough to the people who are willing to lay down their lives for this country?

And don't think the death benefits actually pay off, they don't.

1- Is it because Bush asked the giant oil companies to reduce prices prior to the elections?

2- Is it because China is not demanding as mush oil as it did a few months ago?

3- Is it because the world has oil surplus suddenly?

4- Is it that oil export from Iraq, Nigeria or Latin America has increased?

I really wonder why oil prices are coming down, considering that our consumption or dependency on oil did not change! Where does the basic "Supply and Demand" economic Theory fit in this concept?
