They want to compete with the USA on the economic and political level. Unfortunately for them they do not like to strain themselves to much when it comes to working and they do not like standing up to their enemies either, not the dangerous ones at least. I was born and raised in Europe and in my opinion most of them are kind or lazy and kind of cowardly. I do include some of my relatives in that category and they know it because I tell them every time they give me cause to. They are soft on every issue. Their government has made them so by insuring that they never have to do any hard thinking to solve their own problems.

What the EU envisioned, blew up in there face when the people have spoken.
Therefore, the Eu's vision is now broken. Just like america.
