Don't you think it's funny how quick we are to judge those in office, not knowing what they know.

How do we know what is really going on?

Just because you make up a good idea for why they do what they do, do you think it's true?

I am an american citizen, and have been keeping track of the news in Mexico, about the recent election they had, in electing a new president. That state as it is, is in chaos because there is no respect, for the president, or worse, for each other. Some, of The politicians, and a lot of law enforcement officers are corrupted. If there is not going to be honest people in that country, Mexico may as well be extinct, from the planet Earth.

I named many of the people who I agree with but I forgot many so I won't try it this time. There are just too many.

The B.S. reason I was given was "not a question or an answer".

It has been said by some in the US that the erosion of democracy and free speech is occuring in the current administration.

What two loudly shouted cornerstones of liberal/democrat philosophy limits free speech, truth and intellectual freedom?

Do you find this hypocritical?

As much as people say they support President Bush or President Clinton, these men had their drawbacks, some big some small. Where are the people of vision and compassion? True, natural born leaders that didn't need a poll or an advisor to tell him right and wrong, where are they? And don't cop out with the response that these are our times, great leaders mold their times, they change the world.

That's what the pro-immigration LA Times suggests:

" Immigrants and their supporters will take to the streets today to start a weeklong encore of the rallies that brought millions out in the spring. But as they prepare marches in Chicago, Washington, Phoenix and Los Angeles, immigration advocates are facing a less friendly political climate in the nation's capital.

Although Congress may take up immigration overhaul when it returns next week, few on Capitol Hill are optimistic about passing legislation before November's midterm elections. And any new initiatives are likely to focus solely on enforcement, not on providing more legal options for illegal immigrants."

Oil, petroleum, black gold. Is it what cause's so many problems, just look at all the polution it creates from burning it, to spilling it. They say that just the oil that drips from cars in the U.S. in one day is equal to the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska and it gets spilled alot around the world, especially from ship wrecks in the ocean, it is a dirty substance. Then you have to look at the money it gives to certain forces, People who use it for power from terrorist to politicians. The people who say we have this new world order coming point to old oil people who control it. From the old standard oil to all the oil conglomerates of today they wield power from behind the scenes and it breeds corruption. I for one say, lets get away from oil, find a way to not use it in your life, sell your oil burning equipment or use biofuels like vegetable oil, its alot cleaner and breaks down quickly, think about solar or wind power or a electric car. This is your chance to change course.

Or are they just a bunch of 'money-hungry bastards'?
The supply is there, but the reasons for the high oil prices are given as lack of refineries, wars, so-called 'tensions' between nations, etc. We are paying a very high price for their lack of vision and planning, or is this just a set plan to maintain high prices? And make billions in profits?

I started work last week at a seasonal halloween store. In the interveiw they never once mentioned that cashiers are forced to also to do the heavy lifting and stocking. So I took the job thinking it was a simple normal cashier job and my arthritis could handle this. Turns out that I had to do a little bit of lifting, 10 Lb. boxes was a strain but I could do a bit of it. After another day they wanted me to lift again, the boxes were heavier. I told then I shouldn't be doing this, but they promised it would be a one time thing. So I sucked up my pain and lifted some boxes. The next day I could barely move. I had no choice but to call in to work and request off. And told them that moving the boxes really upset my joints. The next day (today) I went in for my normal 9-5 and they took me in a back room, and said "This job isn't for you, it's all heavy lifting and you're going to slow us down. With your disability you have a choice to quit or be fired." Is this even legal?
