As much as people say they support President Bush or President Clinton, these men had their drawbacks, some big some small. Where are the people of vision and compassion? True, natural born leaders that didn't need a poll or an advisor to tell him right and wrong, where are they? And don't cop out with the response that these are our times, great leaders mold their times, they change the world.

someone with the vision of a JFK with the backbone of Truman and the presense of a Reagan and the servitude of a Lincoln and the mind of a Jefferson. These are extreme examples but I wince everytime Bush opens his mouth, the man has no business being president, and as for Clinton, it seems the man could never make up his mind on any issue, he was always weighing the political side of every decision. We need someone, anyone. Hillary is no the next great president nor is Jeb Bush or McCain. The only person of the people I see who has the chance is Barrack Obama.

Its a big question. Do the times shape the man? In other words, would the Depression and WW2 have been so demanding on any President that he or she would have done as good a job as FDR? There's old news footage I have seen of President Kennedy greeting young guys in the Rose Garden, one of them was a young Bill Clinton, who as we know came from a very poor background but with his intelligence and competence was able to rise to that very office. So the next great leader could be a humble little boy or little girl in elementary school, it could be the box boy at your local store, or a soldier fighting in Iraq, and given the right circumstances that person will find him or herself in power and may find the power inside themselves to be a great leader. Every Pope was a rambunctious child at one time!

True enough, we desperately need new leaders. The most important thing to understand is that no great new leader will come through the Democratic or Republican parties; they both are far too corrupt. The only hope for America is for some courageous leaders to emerge through third parties. To see a detailed strategy for restoring American democracy read the great new book "Delusional Democracy - Fixing the Republic Without Overthrowing the Government."

Have you looked at any of the poll numbers that ask questions of Bush or his policies? The President sticks to his ideas no matter what a poll may say. He can do this because he does not waver on what he says he will do. You say great leaders of the past but give no examples. Please provide some that fit your ideals.

History and only history makes greatness. Our contemporaries simply don't qualify.
