What I find pathetic is the blithering, dithering hatred Republicans spew. No thought, no analysis, no policy, it is just childish name calling like you'd hear in an elementary school. It is pathetic people are so craven, so totally dominated, so totally in love with their hate. I chalk it up to talk radio spewing out that putrid drivel and millions of sponge brains soaking it up and accepting it as real. I say this with some regret, I am a former Republican driven away from the Party by the haters it has come to be composed of. I hope it can assume a constructive role again one day, it had a noble, honorable, positive history but now it is nothing but a breeding ground of idiocy.

They snap out of ongoing fear. But you are right that they are now concerned that their political agenda is threatened because their champion (the current pres.) lost so much popularity in the wake of the Katrina disaster and has yet to recover; his obvious failings regarding the hurricane have made many millions of people skeptical about his policies in other areas, like the continuing American "nation building" effort in Iraq. Conservatives don't really need to worry though: after the next big terrorist attack the country will turn sharply to the right and stay there (and the whole world will be in a lot of trouble - as if it isn't already).

Actually the tide hasn't turned, although I actually expected it to turn. That tells me that the American people are security conscience more so today, then they have ever been.
The young liberals see the one moderate democrat, Joe Lieberman, who has security concerns, being dumped by his own constituents because they think he is to much of a hawk.
This does not bode well, even amongst the young liberals, today. They understand, just as the Conservatives do, it will take more than peace signs to keep our enemy at bay. And, do you know what, there isn't a democratic politician, in the US today, that is sending any message that offers strong defense and security. As hard as it is for many of these young people to swallow, they will vote conservative, rather than sell out to a Clinton like liberal.
Now tell me, does this message sound fearful of the liberals. If there is fear in this message, it is fear for the country, if the liberals get back in power. Frankly, I think your numbers are shrinking, so there is no real need for us to lose our cool!

Based on the polling data I've seen its actually the democrats who should be worried. If the Dems can't get higher numbers than they have, even with the world situation like it currently is, then those democrats in leadership need to seriously re-think their platforms and policies.
And Just for the record, I'm an independant.

No, you aren't the only one who's said this. Soooo many more of you like minded neolibs are saying the same thing even though it's complete and utter nonsense! Perhaps it's because neolibs have just had enough as another one has told me she will never ask another question on Answers again because it's "for losers." Yet, there are more Republicans going back at you. Take two aspirin but don't call me in the morning.

The copy and paste answers have increased with the Neocons multiple profiles to agree with their questions and answers by the 20-30's or more. They even have fake liberal profiles they use to agree with them to sway opinions. The only problem with that is they have no clue what Liberalism is about, and can't cover up being a Neocon propagandist. I was laughing my rear off by this this morning while trying to figure out what questions weren't one of theirs.

boy what have you been smoking? I will agree that the caliber of questions and answers has gone down but I would have to say if anything the liberals are the ones that can't ask a legitimate question.

Yes. The lies, hatemongering, and character assassination that Republicans have always relied on are being stepped up. I see it as a sign of their desparation. It gives me encouragement.
