This is in my continuing effort to get a feel of what some of you who visit yahoo answers believe about the planet on which you live and depend upon.

It is a small planet roughly 8000 miles in diameter or 200 million square miles TOTAL surface area or 60 M sq.mi. land area.

Do you or don't you believe that 6.5 billion + people can have a possible adverse effect on the planet.

Why do you feel tha way.

Since the repressive Soviet state collapsed under the weight of its own cruelties and lies, democratic America went from strength to strength, buoyed by its national commitment to “liberty and justice for all”.

On Sept. 17, 2001, Bush signed a secret executive order authorizing the CIA to kill, capture or detain Al “Qaeda operatives”. The CIA founded secret detention centres in Eastern Europe to keep the imprisoned far from the prying eyes of reporters or Red Cross officials. Because these high-value prisoners — so-called ghost detainees — were going to be subjected to "enhanced interrogation techniques."

I don't see how it could be. We are very different from any other country in the world, and how is it that we are the only country that's right? How can all the other people in the world be wrong?

For the disaster "katrina" do you think more people would have chosen to "relocate" if there if there was more gov't outreach programs to help find housing and jobs in other parts of the nation?

I see some folks that work overtime at any chance they get. They have more than enough money in their bank account from what they say. They are just addicted to making that dollar. They are always buying more toys and material goods. Isn't it pointless to just make a life long 24/7 quest for money when you can't enjoy anything else in life? Like these money making gurus or scamsters you see here in Florida. These cats that work 18 hours a day. I am like, "WTF?" Hell, a good song and a beer does the trick for me. Costs about $1.00.

10.5 illegals. Let's say 8 mln Latinos, the rest from 1mln from Asia, 1mln from Europe, 0.5 from Africa.
These are just rough numbers. You can make your own estimates, accoridng to any data available to you.
8mln Latinos:detention:$200(you must a have a reliable database to go after them), $100 to put them in prison and prosess them, $50 /a day in prison. Once you put them in prison, every detanied has the right for legal defense. You have to pay lawyers and keep them detained while in process. Another $250 a person. Then ,if eventually deported, $200 on average(if in a border state-less, if in the northern state-expensive) for transportation. That's only it they are Mexicans or Canadian. If else, a plane ticket alone costs on average $1000. That's only the ticket, again you have costs for detention, prison stay. And you have to build special prisons to put 10.5 million people. Separate for women, children, men...
If you suggest deportation , how do you imagine it?

this past week in the St. Louis missouri area a cop murdered(alledgedly) his live in girl friend who was also a cop at the time of her death. So people that say all cops are heros, would you please explain. If you say all cops are heros until they do something like this, then you have to say cops are not heros until they do an act of heroism.

Hi, i got a DWI in Dallas last year and it is just now getting filed by Dallas County. They actually took blood form me, so there is no getting out of the .08 BAC that i had. I don't mind being guilty of the DWI, I am just wondering is there anyone else out there that has had a DWI in Dallas county in the past year that has already been to court and have been sentenced? What fines did you get? Did you have to community service? Did you have to pay the DPS $1000 a year for 3 years? What were your court costs? Did you have to go to classes? If so what kind and how long? And if you can think of any other info for me please feel free to let me know.

In advance, thanks!

and if anyone from MADD reads this, know that i went to rehab for a month and AA and NA for a long time. I am not happy about my DWI, nor will I ever drive while intoxicated again, so please no lectures.

in uk we are taxed on our earnings and charged tax yet again on everything we then buy - legal robbery in my opinion! Inheritance tax - you pay tax all your life, pay stamp duty when u buy the house, anything u make on house pay tax again and when u die the house is passed to next of kin and they pay 40% inheritance when they sell!
