For the disaster "katrina" do you think more people would have chosen to "relocate" if there if there was more gov't outreach programs to help find housing and jobs in other parts of the nation?

Being very familiar with the Hurricane Katrina, I really don't understand your question, and neither would anyone in Houston TX or Baton Rouge LA, Lafayette LA or even Lake Charles LA for that matter.

Houston has received 150,000 people. I don't know Baton Rouge's exact numbers, but they too are overwhelmed with new residents. Baton Rouge is now the largest city in Louisiana. New Orleans metro area is still a little larger, but the north shore, and most of the metro area didn't have the devastation the city did.

Nearly everyone left, and most of the city people now reside somewhere else.
Some of those who have returned, either live in surrounding suburbs or on the north shore.

Too much Federal Government involvement screwing up this country today. More time and money is spent by our over-paid politicians paying consultants today that could be used by the states to solve internal problems then what the do nothing politicians could solve anyhow.
I wonder just how much has been spent on solving the problem of driver's rage on the roads these days, and nothing has been accomplished? Enforcement pulls you over for not wearing a seat-belt or for throwing a cigarette out of your car, but how many have you seen being pulled over for misaligned head-lights or for dangerous driving habits? I haven't seen any.

We don't need any more Federal involvement. What we need are local governments to do their jobs. It was so self-evident that there was no involvement what so ever with the city or state knowing what to do in the Katina affair it was sickening. They knew they had possible problems but never made any attempt what so ever to solve them. Natural disasters happen every where and people who live in those areas are well aware of it and should be prepared for them. Start placing the blame where the blame belongs.

I don't belive more people would have relocated if there were better and more organized assistance from our government. Nor would they have left willingly. The people of New orleans would not be rebuilding in the same location if they wanted to leave.

Hey let me tell you, those people suffered a tragedy but have since been very very fairly compensated. When our town flooded so badly in '93, our towns people get hardly sh*t and yes we were declared a disaster area by the White-house.

a great style of the time, we do reality or dare as quickly as we are eating, so that's alongside the traces of.. 'I dare you to.. run for the period of the motor vehicle parking zone in merely your underclothes!' haha. The worst dare that I did, became as quickly as we've been taking part in kings, I have been given dared to chug the drink contained in the midsection, and it became a scotch-smirnoff blend... no longer good. I drank the entire element, and puked. ):

No ,most are born and raised there. Many claim it's their home ,a place they could never leave.I saw a reporter ,interviewing some of them. They told him, they love it here and it would take more than a Hurricane to make them leave.

Why govt. outreach ?
The govt. did not tell anyone to move into hurricane territory...
People who live in the paths of hurricanes should build hurricane proof houses...And that is not difficult..
People who build houses below sea level, should build houses
on elevated foundations or pilings...And that is not difficult...
