a saree doesn't cover the person from head to foot. A saree is a traditional indian dress. A burka or a niqab and abaya cover a women from head to foot apart from the eyes. And it's worn primarily by women. You can usually tell the difference between a man and woman just by the shape of their body.
Of course people should be able to wear whatever they want. Most Western nations are free countries, and if you're not defending the freedom of everyone, then you don't deserve to use that terminology.

A sari is a garment worn by Indian women. A burqa is worn by muslem women. The sari is usually a light colourfull garment without a veil which covers the face.
Anyone should be allowed to wear whatever they like as long as it's not indecent.

Sari is not burqa, it does not cover the wearer from head to toe. Learn your basics about sari from http://sari4u.blogspot.com/. Best of luck.

The same could be said of wearing hoodies, baseball caps, scarves around your lips and nose in the cold weather and sunglasses in the summer.
Perhaps we should all run around partially clothed to make any identification easier - not a pretty thought in some cases!

I think you're talking about something else. Sari is what the Indian women wear and it does not cover all over.
Its like saying people can't wear shorts or jeans. You can't do that.
