Why are SOME (alot if you read some of these posts) Americans so harsh towards there fellow man? All I read is racist remarks regarding mexican people, gay people etc. I mean Canada has it's illegal people here as well but I would be embarrassed if I heard any of that crap. Canada has alot of East Indian and Asian people here but if they come here and work and make a living for themselves. All the power to them. As long as they are contributing to Canada. If they commit crimes then back you go. Someone tell me why SOME american people think they are on top and everyone else is below them? How can ALL mexican people be the same?

You can stop pollution in america, sure. you can tax the hell out of all businesses so that all of americas factories shut down, nothing is polluting the enviornment, and stop us from owning anything good, sure. But if you do that, americas economy will be destroyed.

Why is this bad?

Human nature, once we strip our position as the world power all the other nations will be building factories and pollute the planet even more then we did, the only difference is that america will be an economically dead welfare state.

China is polluting the planet right now, http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/08/21/news/smog.php and as soon as they become powerful, they will invade the us, become the world power, and put you enviro-liberals in sweat shops so you can make toys for their people. and worse of all for you, they will continue polluting planet earth

I paid about $10000 for my hall and I had been planning my wedding ofr two years. While we made the best of it, everyone was miserable trying to deal with the heat. Kids were frustrated. People were fanning themselves the whole time. My husband and I were sweating the whole time. Apparently their air conditioning was not working for a day already. When we asked the first couple of times they said "wait a little it will take a while for the air to start cooling the room." They didn't tell us there was no air until everyone was complainig of how hot it was.

So who’s going to answer for the 100,000 – 200,000 dead? The one’s locked up, being tortured, abused, raped, and murdered. Treated like animals, sub-human (ex-SAS soldier testimonial) you refer to them as sub-human. These soldiers are no different then you are, they are your brother’s, sisters, husbands, wives, boy friends, girl friends and relatives. Some want out, and some don’t trust in their president, so why are you so eager to back him up? Have you been in the field? Have you tasted death? Have you witnessed the carnage of severed limbs of babies and mother’s? And yet you preach to us about your leader being the decider? Have you lost your right to question your leader? Did you not vote for him? Or did he descend from the heavens, a messiah to guide you lost souls.

...settlement amount to expect / ask for as the victim / claimant, depending on the type of legal issue?

For example, what are any of these situations worth on average:

Car accident injury when the other driver is at fault

Medical malpractice

A Lawyer mishandling a case

Workplace discrimination

Wrongful discharge from a job based
on some form of discrimination

And do all of these go through a mediation process before going to court?

This is just hypothetical. I just always hear about people winning either not enough or some amount that seems outrageously high for things much less serious than these.

I think it's largely do to illegal immigration and anchor babies... If we don't watch out they will seize political power because of the sheer numbers of anchor baby Americans and make America like Mexico.... How can we let the American dream die for the sake of people who lie cheat and steal like it is second nature look at how messed up Mexico is remember that the people coming here from there made it that way now they want to defile America... Mexicans are great at taking kindness for weakness their own people don't treat them as nicely as we do... they are desperate to steal what we have made with our own hands and do to America what they have done to Mexico.... Are you prepared to sit idly by and watch them destroy America...?
