That has been an old phrase by Democrats to say they are for the little guy to get more votes. Lots of Democrats particularly liberal are very wealthy like Gore, the Clinton's, Kerry, business tycoons Ted Turner and George Soros, film propaganda maker Michael Moore, Hollywood elites and many liberal college professors who could care less for the little guy, many who act very anti American leaning more towards a socialist type of world with lots of money to support their propaganda.

I salute you. Basically it is a fault of our system which allows politicians to tell any lie just to be elected. If you and I told as many lies on a job application we would be immediately discharged from employment for falsifying the application. No accountability. If you or missied as many days from work as our elected officials miss voting of legislation, we would be discharged for absentism without permission. I could go on and on about the outright lying and in my opinion theft by politicians. How do we stop it ! We can not with the current group of legislators. Throw them out, institute term limite at all levels of government including the supreme court, and start over. "A new broom sweeps clean."

Just because someone has money, does not mean that they are not for the poor. That is just an asinine statement. It is not about how much money you may or may not have, it IS about trying to make the lives of the poor better. It's about trying to create opportunities for them to get a better education, better jobs, better living conditions, etc.
I happen to come from a wealthy, liberal family, and we donate money and time to local shelters, food banks, etc. We also donate to several scholarship programs for the poor. What are you doing to try to improve the lives of anyone other than yourself?

how is this a great question? A great question to Republicans is clearly a pointed opinion with no facts to back it up... yeah, that's a great question...
when you get into office you are paid well... do you know what all those in office were paid before becoming elected?
and apparently you have to be poor to be in favor of the poor? I guess that's the Republican way of thinking... "if it doesn't affect me, I don't care"... again another example of their Christian attitudes at work...

Because money gets people elected - just like the Republicans. Democrats have a real concern for the poor of the country; unlike Republicans.

Because they are weak! The Republicans accomplish far more for our country. They protect us from harm. They are not afraid to make a stand!
