I've never had a ticket until my speedometer broke. Since then, I've had two - one in Jan. & one today. I've always been a good driver & was even accused of being a "granny driver" in high school.

I know many people who try to get out of tickets & I don't want to be like that.I feel that if you do something wrong, you should take responsibility for it. Both times, I haven't told the officer about my speedometer being broken & just paid the ticket. I'm sure they've heard every excuse in the book anyway & I don't want to come across the wrong way.

So, should I have said something and/or tried to fight it? I feel like I should take responsibility for my actions but, I also don't really feel like it was totally my fault.

I'm a college student & don't have money to pay for speedometer & ticket. My parents promised me they would pay for things & help me out financially if I went to college (I'm 24). They paid the 1st tcket but not the speedometer, so now I have another ticket

Hello,

does anyone have experience bringing their wife or fiance to the United States?

So far my "research" has tought me a few things.

1) In the philippines, there seems to be a lot of paperwork...like papers proving the US citizen is un-married...Im hoping someone here can make a list of the paperwork that we both will need.

2) How do I get my wife into the US that is considered a legal resident. I had a friend who told me that I need to be married soon before the US changes any laws....he says that if I marry her overseas, it will still count as her being my wife and that she'll be able to come with me "no questions asked / no strings."
But recently I have read on a consulate website that if I get married in the philippines, I will still be required to file immigration paperwork.

So if anyone can help, or tell me who to talk to, or tell me about a lawyer of business who can help me I would appreciate it.

Thank you,
Ryan

My husband and I obtained a loan for our house over two years ago. The payment was set for 783.00 and that included alot of things in escrow such as hazzard insurance, PMI, and county taxes. After a time the bank gave our loan to another mortgage co. who then told us that we had NOT been paying the PMI on our loan and in order to resolve it they raised our payments 1,189.82.
Because of such a dramatic increase in the payment it has been hard to meet those requirments. However, as I said before, the PMI had been figured into the original payment of 783.00. We recived no notice of intent to foreclose. We've talked to our lawyer about it and he thinks we should try and find another mortgage co and buy our house back when it actually goes to sale on the courthouse lawn. Any ideas? I really feel that the bank is at fault here. I know it's made it into the recorders office in the courthouse and to the Asociate court office. How can they do that without informing us?

i went to meps today and failed the weight by 1.7% which is like 4 pounds. now i have to go back next month to re weigh select a job and swear in. how usual is that? considering that in the past 4 months i have lost 42 pounds. i would have figured that they would have let me slide and continue process and then after i come back to ship out i would reweigh. i just thought that was unlikely. also, i scored a 76 on the actual ASVAB. my line scores were the 110s to 130s. my recruiter said that it was excellent and i should be able to get any job that i want. my question is I have 50000 in student loans is there a web site that i can go to to see the job listings AND the percentage of student loan repayment? I got well over the amount for the student loan repayment. have a list of 7 jobs that i will accept, I was just wondering what the percentage of the student loans will be payed for by the army according to job. I want to have a good understanding of my options before i see the councilor
