i went to meps today and failed the weight by 1.7% which is like 4 pounds. now i have to go back next month to re weigh select a job and swear in. how usual is that? considering that in the past 4 months i have lost 42 pounds. i would have figured that they would have let me slide and continue process and then after i come back to ship out i would reweigh. i just thought that was unlikely. also, i scored a 76 on the actual ASVAB. my line scores were the 110s to 130s. my recruiter said that it was excellent and i should be able to get any job that i want. my question is I have 50000 in student loans is there a web site that i can go to to see the job listings AND the percentage of student loan repayment? I got well over the amount for the student loan repayment. have a list of 7 jobs that i will accept, I was just wondering what the percentage of the student loans will be payed for by the army according to job. I want to have a good understanding of my options before i see the councilor

before i decided to go to college first I failed the weighin twice!! it is fairly normal because you have to be under your weight. I am now going to join the Air Force, and need to loos a few pounds cause i just had a baby, could you email me how you lost all that weight so fast.

The reason your recruiter made you do the re weighin is because you have to be under your max weight before you go to boot camp, doesn't matter how little the amount is. The military will not pay for your student loans unless you went the officer way before you started school. You might be able to get an enlistment bonus based on your MOS and you could use that towards your debts, but otherwise as far as I know, the military will not pay any of your debts.

Good Luck. It's not that unusual. Go to the sauna first. Keep losing. You're doing great. Those scores are good. What jobs are you looking at?

Wow. $50,000 of loans and you can't punctuate. The military could be just the place for you! Good luck trying to get a cent out of them.

the recruiter lied. You are not going to be paid ****. If you are lucky, you will get a sign on bonus. Don't expect all 50 grand to be paid off!
