It is MONEY. Everyone wants money nowadays and they are GREEDY!!! If they don't have money they act like they do because everyone they see on T.V. they think are so great and powerful and they WANT it and will change their life to try to get it and it turns them into evil shells of people that have forgotten who they are because they were raised by T.V. and were given everything their parents didn't have when they were younger thinking it will make them happy when in reality it is making them weak as they are not learning on their own what it is like to have to support themselves and are being rewarded for doing nothing and it has to STOP because it is going to get worse and worse until all the good people with good souls are overshadowed by the rich greedy people who will use their wealth to destroy the minds of the people who want the wealth into thinking that they are better than the people without wealth. When that happens it will be much, much worse than it is now I assure you.

The organized dumbing down of the population so there easier to controll has a lot to do with it coupled with the stupid still being allowed to breed.

Americans are far from alone in the world, but from the perspective of many young Americans, we might as well be. Most young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 demonstrate a limited understanding of the world, and they place insufficient importance on the basic geographic skills that might enhance their knowledge.

Young Americans answer about half (54 percent) of all the survey questions correctly. But by and large, majorities of young adults fail at a range of questions testing their basic geographic literacy.

Only 37% of young Americans can find Iraq on a map—though U.S. troops have been there since 2003.
6 in 10 young Americans don't speak a foreign language fluently.
20% of young Americans think Sudan is in Asia. (It's the largest country in Africa.)
48% of young Americans believe the majority population in India is Muslim. (It's Hindu—by a landslide.)
Half of young Americans can't find New York on a map.
These results suggest that young people in the United States—the most recent graduates of our educational system—are unprepared for an increasingly global future. Far too many lack even the most basic skills for navigating the international economy or understanding the relationships among people and places that provide critical context for world events.

About the Survey

The findings presented are the results of a face-to-face survey conducted from December 17, 2005, to January 20, 2006, by Roper Public Affairs and Media, a part of GfK NOP.
This study is the latest in a series of surveys commissioned by the National Geographic Society.

The United States is an open society. The people are not ignorant to the ways of the world. And the world is not a happy
place. Too many people crowding in cities. And the frustration and hatred coming from the cities appealing to the frustration of people all over. Fear of the end of the world. Need I say more?

I often ask the same thing. I think it has to do with lack of parenting and education. Who did it? Most likely liberals. TV has had something to do with it, too. I don't think computers are helping ease the situation based on the high percentage of morons found here. It's like a disease. Hope it stops spreading soon, or we might be doomed.

'Nuff said?

Because our great country and all of our rights have made us lazy and spoiled. Welfare, Food stamps, Medicaid, the list goes on and on. Why work towards an education, or anyhting else for that matter if you can just be coddled.

Because morons are reproducing morons. The commercialization of America and the rapid expansion of technology in our lives, is to blame. Our thoughts and minds haven't yet evolved enough to catch up to our own creations. Ultimately, people are not born stupid, they become stupid due to the lack of intellectual excercise and because they are lazy. Stupidity is convenience.
