This is what I have heard. In fact, I have heard that they can have a ban for from 10 years to forever, once they are deported! In that case, if I was an illegal immigrant in the USA right now, and have never been deported, but I have worked perhaps a year or more, wouldn't it make sense, with what is going on regarding illegal immigration in the USA today, to haul myself on back over the border (without INS help) and (now that I have money from working in the US), go apply for legal immigration and pay my fees, etc.?
