Pro-illegals, whats your argument?

I'd love to hear the argument a pro-illegal has.

I'm anti-illegal, however not as hardcore as some of the others are. I'm sympathetic to majority of the illegal immigrants here because I understand its hard for them. I am not however sympathetic to those who come here and demand the same rights US citizens have.

anyway, state your argument here because I honestly don't get it how you can be PRO-ILLEGAL.

ps- i know its impossible, but can you please try to ignore my opinion on the issue? I really shouldnt have put it here because now I'm not getting answers i'm just getting attacked by people who disagree.

ps again: I know about immigration situation. I think it sucks. I think the US and many other countries as well need to make it easier for people to get visas. I know that, however what I don't get is WHY the people in OUR country support them coming anyway.

My argument is the fact that there are thousands of people trying to get into this country the right way the LEGAL way..and they are getting pushed aside to everyone who just came in demanding rights...WHY do people who just came over protesting and were in this country for a day get to have a front seat before the ones that have been over here working, and doing their dues? Isn't that enough of a reason? I know alot of people that have been told that their date to become a U.S citizan has been pushed back months...if not years..because of what their own people did to them...There is many many more..but I guess the word ILLEGAL doesn't sum it up.

The whole thing about so called illegals is that there is two problems. The illegals would not be there if there were not jobs that only they can or are willing to fill. Farmer absolutely count on the illegals to pick their crops.
You can't solve the problem unless you work with both sides of the problem.
Know, if you allow workers in that come every year to work on the same farms by passing a temporary workers program, than you have to change the laws around min. wage. The federal minimum wage is less than six dollars an hour. Legal Americans well not work for those wages. It is very hard work!
Many other problems, but part of the problem is north of the border and part of the problem is South of the border.
Also, think about this. If they passed a law that required farmers to pay minimum wages to the legal guest workers, the price of produce would go through the roof.
I don't know how much the roof is, but double is probably to low.
Consider the health laws, the medical care laws, the anti discrimination laws for a moment. Do you write a law so that workers coming from Mexico are not protected by the Countries laws?
It is a difficult problem if you think about it and care about it.

My best friend is an illegal, he's from Europe and he's been here for 12 years, I am the only one who knows about his situation.There are lots of people like him.You have to understand that there are no ways to apply for any kind of status, most of the ignorant people don't know that, the immigration system right now is just a like brick wall.And these people nobody will stand for them it's a horrible way to live.I would put myself in his shoes before I would judge someone.Think what was your life like 10 or 15 years ago how many friends you've met since then, how many you had, how many people you lost.There is no legal immigration at this point the system is expired.Personally I look at it this way

I don't get it either, and I know it doesn't answer your question. If somebody actually gives you a good answer on that one I will be interested to find out. Every argument for Pro-illegal has been nothing but opinions of people who have something to either hide, such as an illegal cleaning their house, or have an inside stake in the game such as an illegal boyfriend or they themselves are illegal. I don't believe a rational pro position exists!!

I'll tell yeah man! Their argument is irrelevant. Our country has laws. Laws should be enforced. our government is acting like idiots. they do not enforce the laws. by them not enforcing laws, that gives a green light for illegals to come here and businesses to hire them. So it is not the fault of the illegal immigrants, it is the fault of our retarded government. So here is the deal. We enforce our laws, we bust companies that hire illegals. That means there is no oppurtunity in our country for illegals. this makes them go back, which gives our country much relief on our social services. what social services? well our ER's can hopefully re open, welfare will not be abuse, and more US citizens can get the help they need. Contact me if you need more info. I have documents and such to enforce my view.

I'm anti-illegal too but I think the answer is,"Whats to lose."

Really, they could not fight it and get exported and sent back to a crappy country. Or they could make a big stink in the streets and see who they can get to feel sorry for them. Maybe they get exported, maybe they get a green card and a pat on the back.

The real question is, why don they make mexico not suck. We made america not suck. Really, people are just dragging us down to mexico's level.

I'm not exactly pro-illegal. I don't like the idea of illegal immigrants coming to our country and getting benefits that I (a mexican/american born and raised) cannot get. For example, my sister in law, an illegal from Guatemala, gets Medi-Cal for herself and 2 daughters. When my husband and I both got laid off from our jobs (around the same time) we went to apply for Medi-Cal for us and our children. We were denied because we brought in too much money on unemployment! Can you believe that?! I was so infuriated, because my sister in law, who's NEVER paid taxes in her life, qualified! Stuff like that pisses me off!

I do get upset by people who only choose 1 race of illegals to pick on. Everbody is from another country, except for Native Americans (aka American Indians). I'm sure everybody has had someone come in from another country illegally at one point in time. It's not fair to rag on just one race for that reason.

Mode55, stop your whining.. Last time I noticed, mexicans left and right with 50,000 passengers in the NEW cars were flying by me at maniac speeds!

And for your info, I only ate once today... and it was unfortunately 2 tacos' from taco bell--- and they were nasty, but ...filling I suppose. It'll last me till tomorrow night.
