I've been trying to find legal work for the past month but it seems that this is a "limbo" stage.

Attorneys looking for help have responded that they are interested but don't want to hire someone in this situation in a clerk capacity because (rightfully so) they probably won't stay on when they become licensed. They say they would rather hire someone still in school.

Also, I cannot do serious attorney work because I am obviously not an attorney. I also don't like "spamming" firms with resumes.

I am wondering if I should continue to pursue legal work in the next 4-6 months (i.e. there are options I just haven't found them) or better spend my time doing non-legal work (restaurant, bar) until I am (hopefully) licensed and then seriously look for legal work.

What if we tried to solve the "which is better, conservatism or liberalism" question scientifically. Not for real - this is just a thought question. Suppose every state has to choose - conservative or liberal - and then we let only liberal politicians govern one side, and only conservative politicians govern the other.

What would happen? Would the liberal side raise taxes to the point of socialism, and go bankrupt? Would the conservative side choke under horrid air and water pollution? Would the liberal side outlaw religion altogether, and the conservative side end up under an oppressive theocracy? Would the conservative side fight for truth, justice, and the American way under President Rush, while the pacifist liberal side is a continual easy target for terrorism under President Sheehan?

What are your ideas - how would things work well under your preferred side? How would the other side falter and fail? Or is our balanced current system actually the best?

Anything at all from his long life that you can think of? Of course, sending other peoples children to die will qualify only if you are on major mind altering drugs or if you just finished an Ann Coulter reprogramming session.

So can no other americans ( and even foriegners) have an educated opinion if it doesn't agree with you OR your twisted leftist agenda? Once again a liberal shows the true meaning of tolerance and allowing the free flow of thought. If you don't agree with him - you are wrong and he won't tolerate you.

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:24).

if this is true... then why does the conservative lobby push so much for the wealthy (tax cuts, grants to wealthy corperations), when they claim to be the party of morals/Christianity?

And I mean the very foundations of capitalism is to promote the sin of greed and use greed to drive the economy... is this a moral way to drive the economy?

We need to bring back the Poppie fields to help support our fading economy. The Taliban destroyed the poppie fields back in 2000 and we need to get in there ASAP to bring the fields back into production. Now the fields are supplying 90% of the world Poppie. Check it out

Essentially not much has happened from yesterday. She is still in a church likening herself to Rosa Parks and trying to be a martyr. (Sorry, I do have some sympathy for illegal immigrants, but this makes me gag.) However, after writing as 'pull the heartstrings' article as they could, CBS Chicago had a poll attached whether you think she should be deported. 83% felt she should go.

Click on the link and take the poll yourself.

Do you think this is the response CBS expected to get?

I hear a lot of people complain about the USA PATRIOT Act, making claims about warrantless wiretapping, Big Brother tactics, etc. and about losing their civil liberties. I've received conflicting information about whether or not the FBI has to seek a warrant to do these things. If it doesn't, at least regarding American citizens, that would seem to me to be a violation of the Fourth Amendment.
Does it or not? Please back up your answer with a factual link, meaning an actual news or information site, not a blog or opinion piece.
