If you had a choice to own the nation of France or eat a hamburger, what would you pick?

I personally would have to go with the hamburger. The hamburger is atleast feeding someone who is hungry rather than France who does nothing (okay they do surrender a lot).

hateful reactionaries with no plans to salvage Republican votes except shameless character assination.

If it were not for the ACLU the christian conservatives would STILL have the right to do minorities bodily harm.

Jim seems to speak for all liberals. I am just curiuos, are all liberals this hateful and closeminded? Jim has forgotten that the Southern Democrats were the ones who fought the civil rights movement. Is this kind of hate speech indictive of a person or group who wishes harm on his fellow americans? He seems to have forgotten that moderate southerners exiled the KKK.

... during the Reagan/Bush41 era?
On top of that, were you aware that Prescott (Duh-bya's grandpa) was supplying steel to the Nazi war machine long after the U.S. established it's involvement in WWII?

With such a record of the GOP/Bush family proving to be on the wrong side of issues when dealing with arming and funding enemies - how can anyone possbly justify voting Republican? Especially while basing their judgment on supposed "wartime" justifications?

i simply dont understand how Hereditary Peerage fits Democracy. how can a rational country with sensible people put up with a group of people who are of questionable background, never voted in, impossible to vote out and their hands surgerically attahced to gin glasses, think they have anything to do with Democracy? how does this fit into today's world? what has England been thinking?

take all the time you need to answer this question. i taught in the unviserity for years and it simply baffles me.

WHY THE TERROR PLOTS ARE FALSE:

There are strong reasons to believe that Muslims are not responsible for the recently unveiled terror plots both in Toronto and London. To understand the reasons why these plots are false, one has to begin with himself and think from inside out. I would begin with myself as a Muslim, who shares the beliefs that are attributed to the alleged terrorists, but does not feel compelled to even think about murdering innocent civilians. Terrorists supposedly believe that:
a) The present world order is unjust. It is a continuation of 700-year old colonial fascism.

b) The former colonialism has combined with new systems for exploiting the natural resources of the weak and maintaining full control of their political systems through puppets.

c) The wars on Afghanistan and Iraq are illegitimate and illegal.

d) 9/11 was an inside job[1] unless we see evidence to the contrary or find answers to the long lists of unanswered questions.

Facts and reasons supported by facts & logic. Please avoid mere stmts of opinions like "they hate us," or "they are irrational" which really say nothing substantive, since they were once at different times, both loved and supported by the US government which considered them as our friends-in arms when they acted as proxies for US geopolitical policies that wanted to weaken the regimes of our perceived enemies. Here's my situation. About 2.5 mns back my B/F was working at IHOP as a cook. Originally they hired him in at $9/hr. His first check was for $6/hr. Manager said he'd change it. Second check was also for the same amount. Still no change. In his 6th week he got fired for, get this, "not enjoying his job enough." Now they refuse to pay him his last check. We have called Wage and Hour and they keep saying it's all "tied up in red tape." It's been long enough and we are way behind on our bills. I thought maybe I'd intimidate them a little by dressing up and going over there saying "Hello, my name is. . . I represent . . . if you don't have his check ready by say, a month from now expect to see us in court." Is that legal?

So much of the BS that happens within our government is democrat vs. republican. Under this two party system, tons of money is thrown at two candidates while others have not chance.
Here's the question....
Do you think that we would be better off if all elections in this country were non-partisan?
(Top two candidates from the primary face in the general)
Why or why not?

"The Klan's first incarnation was in 1866, and was "directly linked with the Democratic Party, which likewise championed a return of near-servile status to emancipated blacks"[1]. Founded by veterans of the Confederate Army, its main purpose was to resist Reconstruction, and it focused as much on intimidating "carpetbaggers" and "scalawags" as on putting down the freed slaves. It quickly adopted violent methods."

They also seem to like drawing swastikas.

Ultraconservative Democrat-basher TJ said it himself(on Iraq):

Yes we may have messed up in Iraq but, at least we did something. America is a superpower but we can't win every war we fight. You are a crazy Lib.

WE CANT WIN EVERY WAR WE FIGHT.

Finally.True words from a pro-Bush Republican.
And they go against all of their rhetoric over the past 5 years.

Is THIS why America thinks its on the "wrong track"
Is THIS why incumbent Republicans are sweating for their jobs?

We messed up on Iraq, noe lets "stay the course" for what, another $200 Billion and another 2500+ solidiers lives?

Dont Americans deserve better?
Why do Republicans refuse to change this downward spiral they're on?
