First of all, we are the best. Second, what other country ( certainly not Brazil ) gives immigrants free health care, free food and free education, not to mention unemployment insurance ( free money ). What country rebuilt Mexico City after the 1984 earthquake? The USA. What country gave Mexico 25 billion dollars in 1994 so the peso would not collapse? The USA. what country allows children of illegal immigrants to be citizens if they are born in that country? Only the USA, and certainly not Brazil. So if you think we treat immigrants like ****, why are they all trying to get here? Why did YOU come and stay here for 8 years? And did you take a job that otherwise would have been given to an American? Quit your crying, and don't back here again. America is not for wimpy foreigner crybabies that dump on us and yet still think we owe them something. By the way, what has Brazil done for the world lately ( or at anytime for that matter ). Soccer? Whoopee and B.F.D.

As you can see by some of the posts above that there are mixed people in the United States. I personally respect other cultures. In fact, I skip over the cultural part and look at the individual. Some people put down others because it makes them feel better about themselves. Others blame immigrants because they think they are all illegal. And lastly, I dont mean to offend you, but it just could be your neighborhood. I've lived in an uneducated neighborhood before and ive lived in an educated neighborhood; there is a notable difference.

Sounds like you need quite a bit more traveling to get a better taste of hospitality in the international community.

Though you do have a point on the USA and work. While the international community will burn the streets down for a 35 hour work week with 2 months Holiday(France) here in the USA we seem to think simply by purchasing that new I-pod and Grooving to Senior Coconut is quantities to a weeks vacation. Yep. We work!

Stop generalizing. You have't met every American, or have you, in your short 8 years here, met enough to even consider it a sample of Americans. Not everybody has a disrespect for other nationalities, as you put it.
Some Americans do get really offended when people immigrate here, and don't take the time to learn our customs, or the language, however.

This seems such as you're conflicted? or purely uninterested in the disrespectful arguing on the two components? all of us artwork, except we will not, and we would desire to continuously take care of one yet another with comprehend. you're good. yet there are subject concerns. California has been a known state in the U. S. for over a hundred and fifty years. unexpectedly there are human beings affirming conflict on us and claiming we stole land. it relatively is no longer 1848. it's time to attempt to comprehend the guidelines and borders of the U. S. and its' electorate. teach them a similar compassion maximum folk persons electorate have shown the immigrants.

We think we're the best because we are by any measure you want to use.
Immigrants get treated like they deserve to be treated on an individual basis. If you come here and try to fit in and get along we treat you well. If you come here and whine about everything here and tell us that we suck we treat you like crap because you deserve it.
Its because we work so hard instead of planning our next party all day that we're the best. We live just fine and our minds are plenty fresh. what you really mean is that we should all live like Brazilians because when you get right down to it you're just a jingoistic, self-righteous, Brazilian bigot.

Brazil, that's the place with no middle class, just rich and poor? And slave labor in the sugar cane fields? And money that has devalued so fast that your workers had to be paid twice a day so they could buy food before the next devaluation? What is it now, Cruzado?, New Cruziero? Or some new name for your money?

Really, we do want to be nice to all people, but it is more difficult when you do nothing but complain, and don't want to work.

Why can't people who come to our country respect our laws, our way of life and our society? We work because that is our heritage. This nation was founded by people who were willing to make sacrifices and work to get the things they wanted. They did not expect anyone else to provide for them or to take care of their needs. We work hard and it shows, that's why this country is great. We are willing to sacrifce for the things we want, we sacrifce for others, we give of our time and our money all over the world.

Americans do live and we do have fun. If you were so offended by the American work ethic you should stay where you are. Meanwhile the US will be ahead of the game because we are willing to do what it takes to be the best.

Who is treating you bad? You cannot take an isolated experience and place all Americans into that box. If you look around you will see that Americans come in every color and nationality that exists in the whole world. So which ones are giving you the problem? You are the one that sounds racist.

You know... after a while it gets really, really "old" dealing with the problems of every nation on this earth. Our own government hands over billions of dollars each year to help solve their problems along with food and medical attention, but when our own Natural Born Citizens need help..... it's nothing but red tape. Why you ask? This response is just the tip of the ice-berg why.
How about this..... immigrants come to the US....supposedly poor.... and presto ! they own a Dunkin donuts franchise or one of the many that are out there. How do they do this? Please.... let us in on the BIG secret. I think as a whole.... the people of the US are very tolerant of our county being taken over by "outsiders".
As far as all we do is work.... most of us have to in order just for us to survive in our OWN COUNTRY.
