My husband wants to join the navy. He has a daughter from a previous relationship (wasn't married). He pays child support but the mother has 100% custody. The recruiter tried to tell us that because he pays child support, that makes her a dependant of his and he can't join the navy!!! What?? Is this true? The child is the mother's dependant because she claims the child on her tax return every year, not him. Is this accurate? Please help!!!

So who's your neigbor? I always figured it meant your fellow man, anybody, anywhere, friend or foe. This isn't strictly a political question, but it's nice to think that the subject of morals and ethics has some importance in the area of politics. So, therefore, does this ninth commandment apply to what we say about prominent public figures as well? Is it alright to make statements that you know are false about people such as Bush, Kerry, Gore or Hillary? Do we have a responsiblity to question things that sound like they might be too incredible to be true before spreading them as being the truth? Is it really a lie if we believe what we're saying? When our error is pointed out to us, do we have an obligation to tell those with whom we shared our false claim or at least be a little embarrassed and admit to our ourselves the error of our ways? Does this include presenting stories a truth when there is no actual person being lied about, such as a fictitious testimonial?

They lie to our faces, and think that we don't know they're lying. They like to play with words, thinking people are too ignorant to understand,Bush,Rumsfeld, and Cheney suck at this, they are so transparent that It's funny to an enlightened person.

Snoodles told me I should stop saying bad things about Bush and Def Leppard, or I will be investigated. Should I be afraid? Or do I still have the freedom to speak out against my government, and crappy 80s rock bands?

The Canadian government loves tax money so much that I doubt anything will ever change.

Just so you know, the question is serious and does not imply that liberals are racist, but rather referrs to only one or miniscule minority of people.
Of course, liberals are the least racist of the group.
So, would a racist liberal be scary?

Farmer Joe was in the egg fertilizing business. He had several hundred young layer-hens, which are called pullets, and ten roosters, whose job was to fertilize the eggs.

Joe kept records and any rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot. That took an awful lot of Joe’s time so Joe got a set of tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone so Joe could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells.

Joe’s favorite rooster was old Brewster, a very fine specimen. But on this particular morning he noticed old Brewster's bell hadn't rung at all! Joe went to investigate. The other roosters were chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.
BUT, to Joe’s amazement, Brewster had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job, and walk on to the next one.

Farmer Joe was so proud of Brewster, he entered him in the county fair -- and Brewster became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result? The judges not only awarded Brewster the "No Bell Piece Prize" but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.
