Stephen Lewis has been speaking at the AIDS Conference in Toronto calling on the Canadian Government to step up and fulfill promises made by the Cretien government.

In Africa, especially Sub-Saharan Africa, there are more than 33 million people infected with HIV, more than the entire population of Canada.

This disease is causing unprecidented destruction of social systems and leaving an entire generation orphaned and with no means to gain education and health care.

The war in Iraq is costing more than $500 billion and to get treatment to all HIV victims in Africa, the continent would require only $10 billion.

Saddem Hussien is now on trial for things we have done 500% worst.

gas his people, tortures, massacres, put people in jail without trial, and etc.

We don't even accusse him of those things anymore in public fear someone scream hypocrite at us

70% of american people believe
9/11 had nothing to with sadden hussien, Asama bin laden was Saddam hussien enemy, and Iraq had no nuclear weapons.

Shouldn't Saddam hussien be on trial for the nuclear we go to war for, for what we put him on trial for?

LETS see ;news coverage shows Israel putting out some fires all the time where the hezbollah rockets impact and some damage to the structers around the area is slight but noticable.
NOW in lebanon we see blown up bridges we see raised roadways destroyed , numerous 4-10 story buildings in collapse and almost every building with structural damage .
NOT a single window is intact and ruuble is 30 feet high were buildings stood .
THE best Israel has to show is a car on fire or small shop with its window blown out with fire fighters pumping water to put out the fires .
Strange that in lebanon no water is flowing or fires put out .
IS this cause concrete does not burn and lebanon has nothing but concrete buildings with little fuel to burn cause the people are so impovrished they have no possesion that burn .
ISRAEL has gone from economic terrorism to all out war against its nieghbors and we support them still .
HEZBOLLAH the party that helps the people with hospitals and aide is somehow bad

Connecticut has been a Democratic stronghold for a while now but with Leiberman splitting the Democractic vote, do you think the Repubican's smell blood and are happy with joy with a more than possible Republican takeover of Connecticut? This seems like a great opportunity for them.

From what I understand it was 51 to 48% Lamont vs. Leiberman with 40 something percent of the voters. Now you take divide the total votes by half in statewide primary with Republican's voting as well and you have 26% Lamont, 24% Leiberman, which still gives the Republican guy a big advantage. Thoughts?

I mean, if a US patriot blew up mecca, wouldn't the US do everything it could to bring him to justice? Shouldn't arab and muslim countries be responible for their own former citzens and patriots? These countries should be forced to bring these people to justice or pay the price(either $$ or with their infrastucture). Shouldn't saudi arabia be responsible for bringing bin laden to justice?

Politics requires, above all, social skills and studies have shown that this is womens prime territory. Women know how to do things like bring down a persons confidence while pretending to bring it up, or turn an entire lunch table against an absent colleuge without saying a mean word. Women, I'd imagine, are more skilled in discerning buzz words and would have a natural advantage in figuring out the emotional truth of a situation. (Which sadly, seems to be the only truth that matters among todays voters.) Finnally, people give greater credence towards womens statements and commands, which is why so many pre-recorded messages use womens voices. I think that once the artificial barriers are removed, women will naturally rise to the top of politcs.
You may argue that men have a more analytical mind, and would be able to work out complicated problems better.(eg. the economy) But most of that work is done by the cabinet, and all the presidents does is decide whose advice to take.

1. What are main differences between Army, Navy, and Marine OTSs?

2. How long is OTS and what happens if you don't "pass?" What are you actually doing when you sign on the dotted line?

3. Do you get paid while attending OTS or only upon completion? Any "sign-up" bonuses, etc.? What kind of salary can one expect after completion? Vacation/Leave, benefits, etc.?

4. Where do you attend OTS, the nearest location to where you currently live or do they send you wherever they have "room?"

5. Is there a lot of travel involved in OTS and/or for the Officers that graduate? (I love to travel, although maybe not on a sub!)

Thanks in advance everyone! Just thought I'd check in here before contacting an actual recruiter...

P.S. I already have a 4-year degree (B.A. in Design/Computers)

Due to several Liberal laws passed in my city, I have to lay off 35 of my beloved employees, these are people who have become part of my family.
I own a neighborhood bar and restaurant,The democrats have passed a smoking ban, cutting 25% of my bussiness. They passed a decrease in the DUI B.A.L. by 20% AND increased min wage, for my servers who make 30-45 an hour (there is no tip credit in MN). In effect they, through legislation, have told me I can not sell to 25% of my guests, sell 25% less to the gusts I still have and then I need to pay my staff 22%more. I have not taken a salary for a year now but can no longer afford to keep taking all these loses. In order to save the jobs of 64 others I must terminate 35.
So which one of you will stand up to the plate to employ these people or pay thier bills?

Or are you afraid to take responsibility for the laws you support?

And THIS is why I am moderate.

Person was involved in an accident, their auto insurance had lapsed, the accident was not their fault, the person works for the county and supposedly the supervisor found out about the accident thru the police rpt or court papers. The person I know told me she was let go b/c of this and for having someone take care of a parking ticket she freceived. Sounds a little fishy to me

I totally agree, we should seal our southern border completally and not focus on the rest, because illegals would never cross through any of them. And besides don't all illegals come from Mexico, so we seal the southern border and no more illegals. I'm really worried about foreign terrorists, I mean look at that awful illegal that caused the oklahoma city bombin, or the unibomber, damn illegals.

What's really going on? Is it because of the upcoming elections? Is it because the US is preparing to go to war with Iran?
